I dont have any projects and i would not mind a new project, but i bet i would just rewrite everything from scratch after looking at the code for 5 minutes :P

TI-Nspire / Re: nPDF - A document viewer for the Nspire
« on: December 31, 2015, 01:40:08 pm »
Also lol i know this is like two years old, but a pdf viewer on calc is cool! I wonder if it will be possible on the monocrome calc  ::)

In practice, there's not enough memory for nPDF to load most files on monochrome Nspires. :(
* c4ooo pretends that by "monochrome calc" he meant monochrome Nspires and not monochrome TI84+ :P

I Looked the Pdf format specification, and they where to confusing so i closed the page after about 2 minutes :P
I dont have an Nspire btw ;)

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Unnecessary IRC channels?
« on: December 30, 2015, 05:54:26 pm »
Well, i meant channels on other networks like Efnet or whatever. I knew you could creat your own channels :P Also we should probobly go back ontopic :P

Eeems: well, as they say, a picture is worth 1000 words ;)

Well, as i said, it could make room for other channels ^.^
Also wether need to drop it depends on wether you want to segregate talk or just have everything in one main channel :P

Yea but who do you talk to? :P
And as ive said before it might be wise to not neccesserly drop some channels, but rather make them simply unreachable from the OmnomIRC client ;)

Well, #TI on efnet isnt realy belonging to any site, its just #TI
Futuring other sites'es channels would be good for cross promotion :P

I don't use #FR and #NL, and even if some French/Netherlandish person says hi in there, it's not like it will ever get answered :P #Radio #Games and #Anime never have descutions either :P #Irp is Eeems' but it's not like it gets any activity either. Maybe someone should write an IRP bot (poke poke @Digital ) :P
If the activity-less channals are removed from OIRC (but not necessary dropped) then maybe @Sorunome could add non-omni channels like #cemetech , #ti and others ;)

Edit (Eeems): Eeems' not eeems'es

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Features Wishlist
« on: December 28, 2015, 10:19:53 am »
In what context might a "modular program" be useful? Note that you'd also lose the ability to call functions, including all of Axe's built-in functions, which would really restrict what useful things one could do. You could possibly do more useful things with assembly, which seems to me like the more appropriate langauge in which to do tricky things like this anyways.
My idea was to load the code into ram by sections, so that the program could be bigger. (But have some of its data in appvars) ;)

Are you going to integrate into the forum stats page? (https://www.omnimaga.org/profile/?area=statistics;u=116)
Some people might have problems figuring out how to access their graph ;)

There are a few subtle errors, that it might be wise to consider the whole franchise a fantasy and not science fiction ;)
Also WTF first order? Instead of wasting your time building another death star just build an arsenal of nuclear weapons, they will be just as effective.
Anyhow, i liked the prequels more then Awakens becouse unlike Awakens the prequals had a good story, albeit one poorly excecuted :-X

Do you use parctial redraw? Because different screen sizes run at different speeds, it seems to me you are not :P
Anyhow, this is cool :)
This reminds me i need to start working on my mincraft port to the CE :P

Site Feedback and Questions / Wow i did not know i could edit this part!
« on: December 14, 2015, 10:42:19 am »
I'm not really sure what there is that can be done, but we are certainly open to suggestions. Word of mouth can help. If you have people that are or may be interested, let them know! Also, one thing that can be done that is very simple is having topic titles accurately reflect what they are about. A topic titled "So..." says literally nothing. Let me help you out with that. ;)

Anyhow... Inactive projects can be cleaned up, that's no problem. A restructure to make things more well organized could work as well, but it would depend on what the other admins thought. Branching out is also an option, but again, I'm not sure how popular that would be. We do already have sections for no calc dev. Maybe that could just be restructured a bit?

One of the most important things is current team/ member activity. If there aren't many interesting projects to attract people, people won't post or have reason to visit. Contributing is one of the best things any of us can do to drive activity imo.
I could not come up with with a better title, good thing you where able to :)

Yes i know we have non calc sections, but they are not very prominent, unlike Cemetech (who have hardware and MC) and CodeWalrus (who have a bunch of different stuff), Omnimaga seems to be calc only. Once again, it does have the non-calc sections, but its not like anyone joins for non-calc related resones ;)

I agree with the last paragraph. That is why i suggested scrapping the hiatus-ed projects and replacing them with active ones. I would rather have a few active ones then a huge list of inactive ones  :)

Lastly, is there any chance of an omnimaga hosted contest? And btw, on the topic of contests, what happened to @noelthebest and their contest? (ti-conquest(?))
