Press the ZOOM key instead of whatever key you normally press to compile (2nd or Enter) ;)
Edit: ninja'd

This sounds almost exactly like Nifty.
Good luck!

I believe there is a Returnr that does that. You'll want to check, though.
Do be sure that that is necessary, though. There's not often a need to forcibly terminate a program in the middle, and it can skip rather important clean-up code. Returnr's main use ought to be a last-measure force quit, or for debugging.

MirageOS won't run on the Nspire w/84+ Keypad as-is due to reasons you might not understand.
Anyway, you can either transfer MirageOS (v1.2) and the run the program found in http://brandonw.net/calcstuff/mospatch.zip to patch it, or you can just use DoorsCS, which can be downloaded from http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/430/43068.html.
I recommend the latter.

DualBLDR, as you should be able to infer, no, they are not ;)
DJ: Do we still have the Dutch boards? IIRC we don't.

It's the admins who are rewriting them, and last I asked them it was going very slowly. :/
Now we can ban in one less click! With this post I'll see how well the "instant" quick reply works :)

Well, that's not really optimization at that point. That's a poor choice of speed optimization over the more sensible size optimization. (You seem to have ignored that programs can also be optimized for size. ;))

Deep, no, it doesn't. Saintrunner, don't. C:\Windows is a system folder, and TI-Connect should never touch it unless you ask it to.
Anyway, I'm surprised nobody linked thepenguin77's guide, found at http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=76.
Try following that.
Edit: I also made the topic title more descriptive.

z80man, I edited it a bit for better English. Also, since you mentioned GitHub, perhaps an elaboration on version control would be in order?
Personally, I am already aware of these things, but a reminder is always nice :)

No matter, just keep making good posts. :)
I would agree that, in general, compiling for ION is the best choice because all other commonly used shells (MirageOS, DoorsCS, etc.) are compatible with its format.
Also, I think you meant "unarchive"; the OS will only run programs if they are in RAM. (Archiving puts programs into Archive and out of RAM.)
Edit: Do you mean compiled code or source code? If the latter, Keoni's point applies.
Edit 2: Didn't see your post there, DJ!

News / Re: TI-Boy SE Beta pre-release

Try again with a freshly-downloaded copy of 1.19 from TI's website, linked here for convenience: http://education.ti.com/calculators/downloads/US/Software/Download/en/126/6286/TI83Plus_OS.8Xu
It's important to note that the 84+ version won't validate.

That doesn't really help. How does it fail? Have you tried pulling a battery and re-inserting it while pressing DEL to start the boot code?
Does TI-Connect/TiLP even begin to send the OS?
To summarize, where and how does it fail?

Annoyingcalc, are you sure? TI-Boy shouldn't be unlocking the boot code and modifying it. There's no need for it to have that ability.
Are you able to successfully reinstall the TI-OS?

I'm using Firefox with an extension for enabling HTML5 notifications. This causes the "Chrome Notifications" entry to show up in OmnomIRC options. However, this also causes "Clear cookies" to overlap with "<- Back"
I do not know if this is also the case with Chrome. Whether it is or not, the overlap shouldn't be there.
