Miscellaneous / Re: RemovedFromGame is down
« on: April 13, 2011, 07:50:47 am »
The weird thing, maybe not so weird is I can see the icon of RemovedFromGame in the tab icon, but then I get this:

Quote
Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to removedfromgame.com
Try reloading: removedfromgame.com
Additional suggestions:
Access a cached copy of removedfromgame.com

Eitherway, I found out that my avatar is only down for some people, and it's not EuropeansVSAmericans, some Europeans like aeTIos can see my avatar, he's in Netherlands. People from Belgium and Portugal can't see it. How weird is that?

Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Re: A real Community Project

Can't help but wonder tho...will it eventually be possible to use gCn/calcnet without the 3-or-4-page app DCS?  It's kind of a turnoff even for me...esp. when you consider the limited app slots in the 83 :P

Nothing against dcs, it's just kind of big
Yeah, that is something I would like to see. It would be nice if there were multiple versions of DCS that have any number of these features removed: BASIC libs, CALCnet2.2, the GUI, and the Homerun hook. In these versions, the commands would simply be replaced with an EXEC ERR:NOT SUPPORTED, allowing us to have smaller versions of the app.

You can suggest that to Kerm, even though I don't really understand what you mean :P

News / Re: First non-TI-BASIC game on TI-Nspire OS 3.0

I hope that Lua isn't a hard programming language :P

Don't worry, it's a step down from Axe in difficulty ;)

I like Lua, it's code is sexy, but not as sexy as Python.

When I learnt it a few months ago though, I had no idea that there would ever be a TI-Lua.

Lua / Re: TI-Nspire OS 3.0 Released: Nleash no longer working

1 week without game on Nspire. Dude, it was hard to survive \o/

I imagine :P Does the Basic have getKey already?

Erm...no it's a program not an app. I have mentioned it before btw. It runs via DCS to get around the size issue that TIOS creates.

Thanks Builderboy :)

Ah great then :) I didn't read this topic's 10 pages :(

I could probably make do if you just gave me all the resources you used (art, sound, etc)

I'm pretty sure the 'Download Source Code' is big enough in the page. I think the images and sounds are there =D

:/ uberspire.com just went down.  Like, a minute before this message is posted.
"defaultwebpage.cgi"

It doesn't load for me too. RemovedFromGame.com is down too, perhaps they have the same host, which is down?

TI Z80 / Re: Asylum
« on: April 13, 2011, 04:42:01 am »
Here's the ASM of what I have of Asylum so far. It's meant to be run on a ~15Mhz calc, btw, and up/down to move the cursor (it's the one that's blinking) and Enter to select/continue. If you wind up back at the beginning screen of inverse text, that means you've fallen comatose again and have to start over. The solution? Choose a different option next time. Also, there is no way to exit the game other than to reach the current end of the story, so if you wanna quit before reaching the end of the game, you're gonna have to do a battery pull. I'm still working on that. Note: Meant to be scary, with the odd dash of humor in it.

Nice! Can you make it go to 6MhZ if the calculator is a 83+ or another non-15MhZ-able class though?

I changed my signature too! I kind of based in ztrumpet's model, but his signature is much more complete than mine :P
