I'm horrible at optimizing, so I'll get it all working, back it all up, then re-do it essentially.  Sometimes I'll go back and say "What the heck was I thinking..."

I'm just like you, I code it first (working) and then optimize it, I can't optimize a lot in the first writing.

http://removedfromgame.com/ doesn't even display! Perhaps it's a US, non-US thing?

Paint.NET
If you use paint.net more than gimp, then...
press S four times, cycling through the selection types, to get the wand
hold ctrl and click the color you want to select
if it selects more than needed, turn down the bar on top ("tolerance") and try again
make the eraser really big and erase the selected parts (makes it transparent)
make big noise yay

Great explanation, thanks much, I'll do it from now on. I didn't find the 'Magic Wand' button at first though :( I got it now.

Yep, I'm hosting the actual files there. Spares other sites the bandwidth, since I have a lot of that left that I'm not using :P

Yeah but be careful with bandwith. The bars and stuff it's all PHP or JS?

Will this make it faster or just better visibility? :P Seems great eitherway.

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: New Posts page automatic refreshing?

What I'd like is something like Twitter, it says the number of posts added and we can press and it refreshes OH JAVASCRIPT!!! But yeah it's most definitely not possible.

As for the home page, it's been like that for quite a while now :P

Just got a random slew of ideas for some reason, so here goes

• Something that shoots at you
• Ability to shoot back
• Something that the ninja-spike-run-over-player thing can run into/over and be killed by
• Death animation for when the ninja-thing-which-kind-of-needs-real-name dies, like when the char explodes
• Level editor.  Need.
• Some sort of enemy that follows the walls around
• Land mines?
• Ability to win level (finish block) :P

I think that was it...

I really want to see another enemy that can be killed by the ninja-guys-without-a-name that you sometimes need to flip switches with.  Basically, then you'd have to protect both yourself and that enemy from the unkillable-nameless-ninja-thing.  (And yes, I don't think it should be killable.)

Progress sounds great.  I can't wait to see more screenies! ;D

I like all those ideas, especially mines :P

ASM / Re: Variables, Labels, Loops
« on: April 13, 2011, 04:25:24 am »
Just a question. Why are you doing in-line assembly in assembly? Why not just type out the bcall? It makes it easier for the non-xeda's to read :D

But easier for me to code, sorry.

add a,(mynum) Thanks, I actually though stuff inside parentheses were adresses and without parentheses were values. Is it different for variables??

I don't know where else to post this, but I noticed my usebar, Freyday's and Zeda's weren't appearing, then I tried Removed From Game and it seems to be down.

A lot of GIF's and userbars on Omnimaga will probably be gone until {AP} can put them back up :(

I think I actually made this game around when I worked on Illusiat 9 and 10, because these two games said Une Production omnimaga too.

And thanks :D

Maybe I'll make some 'productionnes omnimaga' too, the games I make with the support of Omni :P

Yes, good idea! I will add a poll to BatLib Ideas!

I see you added it already, I could make some neat animations with it.

I think it should be 6MhZ, like in Axe, and the user can change it to 15MhZ.

This looks very nice, but I can't get, by reading the article, what language was used to do this, Lua?
