Calculator C / Re: C++ on the Nspire?« on: March 27, 2011, 01:56:21 pm »I have tried to run C++ on the Nspire by replacing gcc with g++ in nspire-gcc, but the linker spams me with error messages then. First of all, I'm surprised you managed to get C++ on the NSpire on the first place. Have no idea how to fix it now, though. 2661
TI Z80 / Re: The Journeys of Pyyrix the Thief« on: March 27, 2011, 10:50:23 am »The thing is, this is more of a blockdude puzzle game, or ship's challenge platformer if you prefer that instead -- not really an action platformer. Smooth scroll would be perfect for the latter, but not the former. Most people complained that the first one was too action-based and not puzzle-based, so for this one smoothscroll shouldn't be necessary. It's not another physics based game Ah, it's a more like puzzle game, good enough then, the smoothscrolling is not that needed, but would still be cool. 2662

TI Z80 / Re: The Journeys of Pyyrix the Thief« on: March 27, 2011, 10:36:35 am »Eh, I think the first mario was smooth scroll still. Besides the graphics aspect, I think it would make the game a lot more playable and enjoyable I have to agree with squidgetx, it's Axe, smoothscrolling is not that hard (Horizontal, Vertical) and it would make the game much cooler. 2664
TI Z80 / Re: The Journeys of Pyyrix the Thief« on: March 27, 2011, 10:12:20 am »feature request: smoothscrolling Another feature request, the left and right walls could have different colour blocks or different shapes, when the player is falling, it doesn't look like falling because the wall always looks the same. 2665

The thief sprite truly looks like a thief, and the platform engine looks great too

I tried christop's code too (as said in the tutorial) but I get the same error as if I tried 'g++ hworld.cpp', hence I thought it didn't make a difference. I will try other codes later

Ashbad, it looks great, simplistic, fast and cool. I like the fast and LW part of it.

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: New Edits« on: March 27, 2011, 08:27:16 am »Sadly I doubt this is possible. We could do like Cemetech and make Spybot notify of edits, but the problem is that we get 400 posts per day and since most people retouch their posts after making them, it's gonna get too spammish. I guess maybe it could check the last edit date and if it has been less than 10 minutes it notifies. Otherwise I don't think this is feasible. I like the 10 minutes thing. 2670
Axe / Re: SirCmpwn's Sprite Editor« on: March 27, 2011, 08:24:55 am »There's a couple of bugs and I wish there was a black-and-white mode, but I use this the most over any other sprite editor I don't use sprite editors anymore, I do it by hand, but I used to use this one. |
