Oh god what the hell happens here. I am disappointed.
I have an alpha version of Axeanoid ready to release since earlier this week, I don't think I'll release anything before the dust from all the drama happening on Omnimaga settles...
Solidarity with DJ and Ashbad.
I disagree, we shouldn't let dramas affect our work, we should be worried with them and try to solve them, but I don't think we should slow things down in Omnimaga due to what happened.

I tend to take the rating system extremely lightly. Of course I don't Uprate/downrate every single post. But I do it if I have stronger than normal feelings about the content. Such as Swear words. They can be very amusing, but if over used or used out of anger, I find it very displeasing.
Edit: My avatar is currently Butterfree (spelling?)
A very pixelized buttefree indeed I guess the rating system of Omnimaga is not to be used like Yotube's (I rate every video).

I know what it was now! It's in the What is your Avatar thread. I didn't read it, I will right away, but I think Ashbad promised temporarily leaving Omnimaga.
That's not what it was, but there's a reason I'm not disclosing any information, mostly because I don't want people pointing fingers. Scout, if you have another guess, PLEASE don't post it.
Sure Hot Dog, I won't do that again (at least not post it anywhere on Omnimaga). And if there was a member who left, I hope he comes back (if he's valuable, not if he is 100% troll)

Hot Dog, I personally like to know what happened and made you post this, but maybe you don't want to say, it's your choice.

Right now, at 12:32 PM EDT where I'm at, TI's Nspire web site says it's down for maintanance till 1:00 EDT (12:00 CDT). I wonder if it's down to change things for the new TI-Nspire system. What do you all think?
I think it was already available before for some reason. It's impossible, Bush, but I'm not sure.

(UTI, TI-Bank) (noelthebest)

The reason why newprog had a new category is because you need an extra software to run games compiled in the language, unlike Axe, which lets you compile for no-stub or with any of the popular shells.
I have to agree with DJ and also because of what I mentioned before on this topic.

What?
There's like maybe 15 newprog programs, but there's over 100 axe ones. Shouldn't axe have it's own section? ...
But there is a fact against us... Axe games/programs are Assembly, so there could be some confusion there, people making Axe games claiming they were made in Assembly or the opposite. What is newprog?
And I agree -- I always try to credit Axe in my readmes and programs.
NewProg is similar to Axe, but for the 68K series.

like the two source codes?
I doubt you'll actually understand anything. I barely do anymore. I actually jump around all over the place in the program, so you'll take five minutes back and forth just to see all the enemy code. But, it's fast like hell 45 FPS with 3 enemies and 2 items on screen, and practivally no flicker at these times. I bet even the boss fights will be over 55 FPS.
I may not get all of it, but I still want to compare them

Nothing surprise us from TI
Their website is, as I write this, down. Yup, no surprise there.

There's a NewProg category? Axe really should get its own...
I totally agree. In fact, Axe is way more popular than NewProg.

The AI works. Perfectly. Never seen an 83+ series chess program with AI before However, as penguin77 himself has stated and the rest of us have agreed, it is rather awful Sadly, it can't get much better without becoming horribly slow, and it's already somewhat slow as it is Regardless, it is a great achievement and we'll keep looking for ways to improve the program For me, personally, I always beat it, and I don't even consider myself that good of a player
It's a calculator, for a calculator, it is damn great, but when compared to other Chess games, then we can say it's not so good.
