We would need to know all of that only if we're going to make apps that support data collection stuff... If we just want to make apps that do something else, we don't need to know as much. Maybe edit the TI-made apps.

Originally, A:\ and B:\ were for floppy drives and C to Z for the rest, since most of the computers at the time had 2 of them. Windows now lets you map drives to B:\ (and maybe even A:\ if you have no floppy). Myself, I have a B:\ drive for a MS-DOS partition.
Fun fact: I managed to map non-alphabetical drives once ($:\ or 1:\)
You have a B:\ drive? How's that?
Technically, it does it in order, so you can have a B:\ drive. I have an A:\ drive fora 3 1/2 floppy, I don't remember what hardware piece B:\ would be. C:\ is obviously the first partition on my hard-drive. Also, it's \ not /. / is for linux/unix and usually will work in windows. But \ is more technically correct. Just some fun info there. ;-)
Thank you guys for the detailed explanation.

Me, too. Like I mentioned on IRC, I'll just be giving up on certain issues so that they have less of an impact.
You mean concentrating more on your projects than the rest of the stuff? Sorry, I don't really understand.

True, but maybe someone will be able to figure out how Apps are formatted, and then develop a way for the community to make their own.
That would need us to figure out both the lab hardware and the calculator hardware, so it might be quite tricky.

Welcome to the Omnimaga community You said you loved calculators and homebrewing, but do you also program?

I have a new idea that I'd love: a shell with programs and applications.

Sometimes we, programmers, need inspiration to make games or even programs. So, I decided to make a topic where people can say stuff they would love to be made for the calculator. If this becomes big enough, one can come here and try to do one. 1: My idea would be a text editor for ti-83+ series better than the one included in TI-OS that would also allow making programs for Axe and Basic. I'd love this, since the one in tiOS is quite weak. 2: A scrolling game (whatever type) based on a 3D cube, so when you move far right to the screen it does something like this.

I should release the multiplayer engine of Avoid soon...
* ScoutDavid likes that. I am waiting for a multiplayer game to play with my pals. Actually I have to try the shooter by happybojr, it looks quite cool.

You have a B:\ drive? How's that? EDIT: I finally understood what this does Thanks to the screenshots. Is it open-source? I'd really like to see your detokenizing engine

This is great, my teacher forced us to get 84+ keypads and borrow ti-83+'s for Lab stuff. I just hope it's faster than in ti-83+ series.

You just use it like that It will restore the contrast to what it was at the beginning of the program.
Oh! Then that's perfect! I thought you had to set it to a variable or sth. EDIT: It worked on uPong, thanks much!

Shade({E8447}+24
Could you give me an example of how to use it, please? Thanks much.
If that really works then I don't see the need of adding another command.
