Axe / Pause game
« on: January 07, 2011, 09:44:22 am »
Hey, I know that some of you have made games with pausing systems that work with a key to pause the game.

How does that work? How do you do it?

I wanted to implement it in uPong and was wondering how.

Thanks much!

A radio button, if possible.

That's a great idea... if I was able to make custom dialogs. I think I'll have a choice list dialog. Thanks anyway :D

You don't have to do costom dialogs, you can also put the radio buttoms in a menu bar ... if you can do it.
Good luck for your project !

Don't you mean a checbox in the menubar?

Casio Calculators / Re: Casio Prizm - What is it?

Well that's how fast the processor type can go, apparently. I'm not sure if the calc hardware supports that high speed, though. Hopefully it can eventually checked on real hardware (although I hope it won't cost someone's calc X.x)

Qwerty just told me that PRIZM Basic is quite slow, I mean, faster that 83+/84+ Basic, but still slow on loading images.
I think we were talking about the speed of the processor, not the speed of Casio-BASIC... Overclocking would allow all of this to be faster.

That's correct, also, I suppose Assembly will be much faster than Basic.

If you contribute programs, and are working on projects, then you aren't a troll.

That is not true. I can contribute to the community, release lots of projects and still be banned and being a troll.

eh, I said you'r not and that means that you aren't.  You do have your moments, but those are getting very rare these days.  so your not my friend :D :D

I didn't mean me. I meant someone, someone can make programs, contribute, be constructive, but still be a troll sometimes.

how about smaller/ larger paddle options and mutiple balls? ;)

Larger/Smaller paddles would be possible, but I need somebody's help, because I myself haven't fully understood what the original code (by Quigibo) does.

I'll make a new version of this game, much better, :D

It'll include decent Highscore saving (this one has a HUGE BUG, How come nobody notice? OH, nobody plays it XD, Even though I need to fix it, it is saving the last score, not highest).

Also adding Pig/No Pig option. Well, a few stuff that friends of mine asked me for, it'll also be 0.4.7, so faster :D

I also think I'm not a troll, but I am. However, I'm pretty sure you're not.

No, I think it's a bad idea. Some people may want a certain level of privacy. I know some ppl only have real-life friends on their FB profile.
how about only the people who want to can link to their facebook/give their name?

I doubt that that is even possible :S

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Assembly Programmers - Help Axe Optimize!

By the way Quigibo, the reason I was looking at every source routine for Axe is because I'm documenting the size and (at least approximate) speed of every Axe command. If I finish it, would you want to bundle it with future Axe releases? If not I'd probably post it somewhere on the forums anyway, so people could still see it.
