Axe / Re: How do you store to and read from Appvars?
« on: January 01, 2011, 09:56:19 pm »
http://ourl.ca/84305

Examine that code, it loads/reads from appvar, but also stores.

I'll edit this post later with the *exact* code that does it, also '|' is the token 2ND + 8 in the calculator. 'appvar'

I think it was shortly after that 739 posts day. I would have to check all your posts to know, though, which would take ages. X.x I think you had 250 in two days.

You posted so much for a while that you have a higher daily post rate average than me! O.O

 Yeah that's true, but I'm going easy now because I'm programming more, respect is more important that posts, When I say respect I mean both respect (thought) and respect (integer).

Hmm, just realized a problem: What if teachers start blocking TI-BANK and Omnimaga? (They're already blocked at my school, so I don't really care, but other schools...)
At my school, most forums, and all blogs are blocked. Te librarian says its because those are individuals posting the stuff so its hard to control the content, but then theres a whole bunch of other stuff made by individuals that goes right through the filter. Personally, I dont see the need for filtering anything but pr0n.

I don't even see the need of filtering pr0n, except in countries where watching it is illegal, law I can't yet understand.

Axe / Re: Axe drawing questions
« on: January 01, 2011, 08:30:22 pm »
Hello!

Some questions regarding Axe:
1) Can anyone explain to me how tunnel side drawing/generation works? And if possible, could I get an example to play with?
2) How big can sprites be?
3) Where/how are sprites drawn? Like text?
4) For "special" big font, are they just sprites?
5) Is there a good sprite drawing tool I could use? (Both calculator and PC)

For the 5th, use Tokens :)

tiDE / Warning: When updating tiDE, use the previous build
« on: January 01, 2011, 06:24:09 pm »
A problem occured in tiDE and a build was uploaded that did not have all the features of the previous one, so this is just to remind all programmers and to-come programmers to:

If you want to program in tiDE, first thing is to download last build, then program and last thing is to upload new build.

I just thought it was good to have something here to remind about this situation for all developers and to-come developers.

General Calculator Help / Re: Recovering from a corrupted archive
« on: January 01, 2011, 05:43:59 pm »
@graphmastur: I once managed to get EVERYTHING from a corrupted archive. HOW? I don't know, I crashed my calculator and when I turned it back on it was good :D So, it was a random day, a few days after getting it corrupted. It was a random occasion.

Yeah, I do consider myself superior to all those, and .NET programmers too, despite the fact that I also program .NET.

Hello ScoutDavid, that's a very good idea, and your program has lot of functions.
That's a good work. Do you think you will also program it in Java for make it as applet ?

I'm french, so my english can contain errors. The text in french :

Salut ScoutDavid, c'est une très bonne idée, et ton programme dispose de nombreuses fonctionnalités.
Très bon travail. Penses-tu reprogrammer ce programme en Java pour qu'il soit disponible en tant qu'applet ?

Bye !

Making it Java would be hard, but possible, since I can code in Java. But making it a Java applet would be tremendously hard, probably impossible for someone with my skill. So, when version 1.0 comes, everybody will be able to get the source code maybe someone can try and make it an applet, or even a PHP page :)

Thanks, is there anything specific you are looking for though?

Did you see my .ico? Download it and see it, or download the program and it see how it looks. What does it mean? Nothing. It's abstract, random. That's what I'm looking for, but more appealing that mine ;D
