TI-Nspire / Re: Virus to crack RSA for nspire? :P
« on: July 21, 2010, 06:09:08 pm »
At the moment, I believe boot1 gets verified by boot0, boot2 by boot1, and the OS by boot2. Each of the bootloaders has the verification code for the one above it, but that same code is signed by the one below it. So, yes, TI can change the key if they want. Also, I'm pretty sure boot0 is non-modifiable.

Nspire basic does have an input command, but it uses a dialog box, which ruins it for games. Also, graphics output sucks, because there is no way to create a new line/circle/etc, you have to link an existing object to a variable, and change it. I started programming a minesweeper game. It needed parametric functions for the numbers. Since then ndless came out, and I have been using C ever since.

When does the OS get validated? At each boot, or just when it is installed?

Sorry to be so pessimistic, but you can still downgrade to 1.7 (2.48) which doesn't have mathprint.

Trapped for the TI-Nspire and TI-89 / Re: Block Dude Nspire

Look at this: http://oos.moxiecode.com/examples/blockdude/index2.html

It's a flash remake of Block Dude, which should give you some nspirations for the graphics.

They'll probably tell you to tell your teacher to use press-to-test or whatever it's called.  :(

If the diagnostic software is independent of the OS, does that mean it isn't digitally signed? Thus, we can replace it with whatever we want?

We can also port at least the math portion of one of the numerous open-source CAS programs out there, and write a new interface for it.

I didn't mean TI's emulator, I meant Goplat's.

2.00.1183 from my Nspire CAS TouchPad P-0210B is marked as dumped :p
But I'm not going to explain "how" now.
And before you ask, I don't have Ndless2, not even a beta or alpha version.

Could it be from the emulator?

The dells for businesses (Latitude, Vostro) are more reliable, though mine has heat issues. (I resorted to undervolting my CPU, which dropped the temperature by 20C)

Low cost? These calcs are way overpriced. You can get a Nintendo DS lite for the same cost as a 84 SE.

Congrats! :D

Here's mine:

TI-NSPIRE DIAG
DATE:2007-12-18
1.3.2406

Also, in the additional functions menu, I have an option called More Updates, where there's two sub-options: Update Diagnostics and Run Test Program. I wonder if these may have any use?

What is the format for the map? I want to make a 3d maze, so I need to know this for the generation algorithm.
