General Calculator Help / Re: Signing Programatically

He's probably interested in signing OSes, for KOS.

EDIT: or this is for tiDE, in which case, both.

tiDE / Re: Warning: When updating tiDE, use the previous build

Okay, this post isn't necessary at all. PM lordConiupter and work it out. See which functions where removed.  Most source version controls allow this.  If anything, you can apply good bug fixes and such to the methods/files that need it, and fix the broken parts.

In this case, lorConiupter could have been working on this for days and just now decided to upload.  Either way though, talk it out with him, don't announce it like this.  If you have other developers that have the same problem, work it out with them.

Team work is one of the hardest things for programmers, I find, especially on multiple computers.  It's hard to find time to do stuff, hard to make sure everything is current, etc.

I um... We.. um... I'm just kinda amazed here.

First off, welcome to omnimaga.

Second off, OMG, that is an amazing piece of software, That is awesome, woot!

Third off, please introduce yourself in an introduce yourself topic.  That way, we get to know you a little better. ;-)

Oh, I get it. So you define B as a tree in the wind by defining B1 as one frame of the tree, and then B2 as the other frame.  But Correlation doesn't use B1 and B2, it only uses B and handles the change in sprites every time you redraw the string.

I think you've got it.  Let's say FONT1000.8xp contains characters for the letters "A" and "B", so "B" will contain one frame of the tree in the wind.  "A" is defined as a rock.  FONT2000.8xp contains the OTHER character for the letter "B", the other frame of the tree.  Notice there's no "A" in FONT2000.8xp.

real(FONT10001  means that FONT1000.8xp is your first font for your animations. real(FONT20002 means FONT2000.8xp is your second font.  Like you said, Correlation uses only "B" and automatically handles the changes in sprites.  Since there's no "A" in FONT2000.8xp, the rock won't move a muscle.

I've decided to describe creating animated tiles in its own chapter.  It's certainly a confusing topic, and I know that now
Yeah. One feature request, though, is changing tiles.  If you've got a building that's standing in one scene, but gets blown up or something, you could use the same map (text) but different tiles.

One way of cheating is using right triangles, but with 3D instead of 2D.  That way, you can use proportions.

Thats not cheating, thats using accurate math to get real projections of 3D points onto a 2D plane :)
Then what do you consider cheating in this case?

General Calculator Help / Re: Recovering from a corrupted archive
« on: January 01, 2011, 05:55:48 pm »
@graphmastur: I once managed to get EVERYTHING from a corrupted archive. HOW? I don't know, I crashed my calculator and when I turned it back on it was good :D So, it was a random day, a few days after getting it corrupted. It was a random occasion.
If you turned it on and it was good, without you doing anything, then it wasn't a corrupted archive at all.

"People who insist upon calling HTML a programming language"

But it is! j/k

I don't fit in any of those, because I know there's people who could write code better than me in any language.

EDIT: Technically, I know a bunch of languages, just don't think I'm better than other languages.

tiDE / Re: tiDE Team

The first error is due to the project not finding the main method.  Your project settings probably don't have it defined.

As for the second error, make sure you have proper privileges.  If you do have privileges to upload, then there's probably a way to do it inside whatever IDE you are using.

News / Re: Yes, the TI-Nspire has a LED.
« on: January 01, 2011, 04:42:38 pm »
I have all internet blocked, so that's no problem for me.

As for the led, I think the only way this is useful is if there is some way a calc itself can read it.  Otherwise, the teacher might notice a person staring at another calculator making notes of which color means what. ;-)

I really don't see the point of all of these anti-testing measures.  If you want to make it absolutely "fair", give everyone a TI-83 or something.  Granted, this could be difficult in some cases, but still.  I took a program called "A" in on a test that just displayed "Does anyone clear ram?".  No one checks this stuff.

I guess it's just me, but I would try and do my best without cheating.  There's no point otherwise.

Yeah, backups are very important.  I wonder if there's a way to auto-backup stuff on insertion into a computer or something.

They're not in Randomness, they're in Random Discussion. In other words, they're at the same location as the gaming and anime section. I do not think I need to answer your question as I already did in my first post. Not sure why you're whining about it when you know I thrived to make sure Omni remains as game-only as possible. Plus you should be happy I at least add them at all instead of once again questioning every moderator/admin actions I take (it was partially your fault if I demoted myself from admin one week ago, after all). -1 on your post.

Well, my only concern is that they won't show up in OmnomIRC or anything, nor will they raise post count.  I do see your point on game-only, though.  I am happy you added them, and I'm not whining about that. The only part I'm not sure of is if they will show up in omnomIRC or not.  I see they do now, and am okay with it.

Well, I guess an asm program could be written to make all the flash pages valid.
