I just updated my java to 6r23. it works fine in browsers however there are problems for me when i run .jar files (runtime). I can run them, but only after a massive amount of tweaking with cmd. I dunno why i have this since everyone else seems to be able to run them directly by double-clicking. but as for the java in browsers it should work.
Try just adding -d32. Unless you are on a 64 bit processor? Would the program have to be updated regularly forever to maintain compatibiility? I remember PJIRC, for example, stopped working completely during about 3 versions of Java, then it started working again 4 versions later.
No, not necessarily. What I said was mostly referring to packages that have not been adopted to the java standard (Don't want to explain that. It's basically like making the package "official", and having it be released with any new updates). E.G. 3rd party packages and such.

i think i'll stick with the first.. lol. do you have any test data for the first i can use?
Not yet, but I'll work on some.
In the meantime, if there's any other takers for option #2, remember that Correlation isn't coming for a month
So basically like a m by n grid that they can do the font, and assign that to a letter or something?

If there are any assembly programmers who want to help me with it, I can post the app writing code if you're up for it, but I can hardly understand it myself since about a third of it is written by TI.
Can I get that code?

But if you mess with IY, you can do a ld IY, Flags, right?
I think so. I know there's an actual address. I'm sure you could do push iy \ pop hl bcall DispHL to find out. EDIT: ninja'd

If a Java program is translated into "Java Byte Code," is it guranteed to run on Windows, Mac and Linux as long as they have java installed?
Not necessarily. You have to make sure you are using routines that are not deprecated, or provide some sort of version check. You also have to make sure any native libraries are compiled to the correct architecture and installed. And you have to make sure that any libraries and functions you use are available to all systems.

I got that it did something. The real question is how does it affect it?
Try it, just don't spam it repeatedly.

It's ok. It seemed like everyone wanted to try it when this topic got posted and it got out of control. X.x Even BrandonW tried it, lol. However I would see no justification in seeing that flood happen again. I could maybe post screenshots later, though.
Which reminds me, any idea why it doesn't work in IE?

How do you load level data that is stored in a GDB pointer?
Well, it depends on how you are storing your data, really. Can you give an example map or data?

Ah ok. so i should probably get better at z80 before using stacks too much since i wont be doing much complex math until i start making games and whatnot haha
It's not just for complex math. If I want to use a for a port or something, but need to get the value later, I can just store it on the stack. It's the easiest way to get it. It's also useful for transferring numbers that normally wouldn't be allowed. For example, assume you couldn't do ld hl,de. With a stack, you could push de and then pop dl. There are many uses for it, some are just more common than others.

Note, if I notice anymore Netham is a lobster spam like earlier while this topic is active (the line was repeated about 20 times), I'll lock it and move it to Randomness. If it still continues afterward, Netham45 will be adding censoring on OmnomIRC until further notice, which will cause lines containing Netham45 is a lobster, rickroll text or The game to not show up at all. It seemed like everybody was trying the easter eggs, so I let it go, but a repeat of it would be unjustified.
Thank you.
Sorry, the Netham45 is a lobster was my fault.

The only problem is that the routine to swap the pages cannot be located on the page you're trying to swap.

I like the fact that I am king. Other than that, not sure. I like the sense of community that my servants the members have.
