A ticalc.org account is a must for every calc. programmer, I'm serious!
Don't they say the same thing 'bout link cables?

Ah ok, because ticalc.org is like the central hub of the TI community downloads and the main site to download programs. :P
I have yet to get an account on ticalc.org, that's why I'm somewhat loathe to upload it. xD

I wasn't planning on doing so, but perhaps I will with a later version of the program, as version 1.0 is still pretty buggy.

I would have to agree with you on that.

I've almost finished writing the code for Chemitab, just have to finish one last subprogram.

edit: finished!

When the code gets onto my computer, that's when the code is in a format I can upload to share with y'all. The real backups are the stuff I write by hand on paper.

Just so people don't start thinking I've finally made to the 21st century or anything...

I will keep that in mind.

Also, would those who have tried out Multitab please post with their thoughts on the program? I'd like to hear what you think of it.

edit: 2/7 of Chemitab has been saved to my laptop thus far. Just so y'all know.

So typing "Netham45 is a lobster" does something to the chat?
...Netham45 is a lobster turns half of the forum theme pink until you reload the page or click another. The latter easter egg only works on the default forum theme and will not work in IE, though.
Not to sound rude (in fact, I'm only typing all this to begin with because I don't like having a post full of just quotes), but it does help to read the entire thread sometimes.

I think it has to do with coding. IE displays CSS codes differently from other browsers.

TI-BASIC / Re: Using asm( inside a program?

Thanks, yunhua, that gives me something to work with...
* holmes221b has had an thought about how to make it work the way I want it to work, while still using If statements.

BrandonW, I'm trying to come up with something that is purely TI-Basic (mostly because that's really the only programming language I know well enough to create original programs with).

How would I do it with If statements?

TI-BASIC / Using asm( inside a program?
« on: December 16, 2010, 11:55:53 am »
I'm trying to create a program that will run a compiled program specified by the user.

Here's what I've tried (and none of them work, I keep getting ERR:Syntax):
Code: ("Version 1 (with prgm not included in Str1)") [Select]
:Input "PRGM?", Str1
:asm(prgmStr1
Code: ("Version 2 (with prgm included in Str1)") [Select]
:Input PRGM?", Str1
:asm(Str1

Any way of making this work?

28: when some noob is having computer trouble I usually start by looking at the computer, pretending to think hard, then say "Did you happen to press F13?"

I get so many responses.
a few "Oh, opps i did do that"
occasionally "I didn't know that could cause problems"
I actually looked to see where my F13 key was...

1113: You know how to figure 1112 out on your calc.
1114: You checked the math for 1112 with the calc you always have handy.
