Computer Programming / ANSI C, library for strings [strings++]
« on: October 20, 2010, 07:42:10 pm »
Actually this is my first C project of this kind,
and I hope it can be useful for someone here,

but, it's sad that you probably won't be able to use it in your calc...

Hope you enjoy!

/*

Maybe I can post a code as sample of usage
actually it's already done, just need to be translated

*/

So what it's this library for:

¤: replace the first occurrence of a char in a string [for a sub-string]

¤: replace every occurrence of a char in a string [for a sub-string]

¤: replace the first occurrence of sub-string in a string [for another sub-string]

¤: replace every occurrence of sub-string in a string [for another sub-string]

I know you could say why for if the last two can do the same of the first ones,
simply: they are MUCH FASTER than the 3rd and 4th ones.

They are listed in speed order ;)

Hello,
I know you don't know me, so that's why I am here.  ;D

First, my nickname is very original, since you wont find anyone else in this world with this nick.
However, if you look at google.com you'll find more than 2900 results, and it's just me everywhere.

Well, I like originality, and so I blame my friends with the HP 50g, because
every engineering student in this country have it.
TI isn't a well know Brand in Brazil.
I bought a TI Nspire clickpad a month ago, (just a guess not a reliable information).
And before it, I was looking and comparing TI products.
[Now you can call me stupid for don't get a TI 89 or TI nspire CAS which would be far more useful than my calc is]
These toys are very expansive for an average Brazilian guy, so I had to spar a lot for get this tool.

I started now with basic programming, and I know just a very basic things about it.
But, I know more about another languages such especially for web as you'll see ->
somewhat of ASP
somewhat of PHP
C [Dev-CPP]
Pascal [who does't know it]
Javascript [I love how powerful this language is]

and:
I want to know ASM.
I will need to learn java in the next half year.

If you want to know me just ask google as I said before.

[I doubt anyone will really read all these stuff]

TI-Nspire / yaCAS - xCAS for nspire blue
« on: August 30, 2010, 07:42:11 pm »
i was just wondering, how hard is to re-code

http://yacas.sourceforge.net/ or

http://sourceforge.net/projects/xcas/

to N-Spire (non CAS obviously)

Because I heard, so much people trying to hack it, (with some lucky in 1.1 but not in newer versions)
And it would be a great help for those whom want CAS in their calculator.

PS: that is some work done in this area, as you can see:
miniCAS,
Constants and Unit Conversion,
Systems of Equations and Equations of 2nd Degree,
Nspire symbolic library
That's a lot of work already done, but, sure it still missing a lot of stuff,
and they probably can be found in a open source CAS.
and implement it there.

I feel bad, about asking you all for someone go for it,
without myself being able to do it, but the first guy who came with a full CAS for the nspire nonCAS will be like our GOD,
seriously, everyone will love what he done like everyone still loving what calc84maniac done, even without trying the TI 89 emulator in the nspire ...

but, please, post and share every beta for don't lose your work as he did.

Other Calculators / RunOS / Ndless 2
« on: August 23, 2010, 10:37:22 pm »
Ok, I heard you guys actually have a stable beta version of the ndless 2 for OS 1.7
Also that a RunOS (software to run any OS in the nspire) has been worked out, but there is no public information about it.

So here are some of my questions:

why don't you release it in a bit torrent site like thepiratebay, I released the TI InterActive software there and I had no trouble.
(here was a link)

And my second option is to give it to me, here in brazil justice isn't that good and i am sure i won't be in jail doing something like seeding it,
or hosting somehow.

I am just trying to help your great work!
