You can still use the PRG file, even if your ndless_resources supports Zehn. It will detect that automatically and load the Zehn part of the file directly.
Yes, I know. Still, the Ndless 3.1 and 3.6 archives should be updated.
With nspire overclocked performances are radically improved : @234Mhz opening a document, zooming and scrolling is become fast and smooth, against stock frequency of 132Mhz I used before on Ndless 3.9 The new version seems great : as you revealed into post #72 searching and the 3 scrolling modes will be the tidbits, but before rendering a file I was accountable myself as an option that show the current page number and if possible also than of first and last page would give more importance to 'go to page' function that uses CTRL+G because could help us finding a whole part inside the document from what we remembered of it. Do you think could be easy to implement?
I could add the first and last page shortcuts right now. Any suggestions for what they should be?
I think we could call the shortcuts respectively 'prologue' and 'epilogue' using a literary key But I mean also show the number of current page riproduce to help the user surfing the PDF's tree!

Also, you don't need to use the PRG file on OS 3.6. The ndless_resources.tns file from Ndless 3.9 that has Zehn support actually works on 3.1 and 3.6. Just replace your ndless_resources.tns with the one from 3.9, nPDF.tns should run. Unfortunately, this isn't well-documented. I'm using successfully the PRG file Sorry, I was caught up with school work. I have uploaded nPDF 0.4 beta. Since you requested it, a build is included that supports EPUB and HTML.

As written in the nPDF thread,

I'll have to try your latest nTxt version, lkj. I think I have version 11 on my calc
In fact I didn't know this workaround, I had always believed is purely a compatibility problem as written into post #58 of that thread by Vogtinator Happy to has learnt a new thing, probably I'll make the switch after the exam to avoid the 'kind of document not supported' in the future (I don't know what differ exactly from the 'X.tns' to the 'X.prg.tns') However update your 11 version, lkj has done an amazing job with 24

I implemented the quick horizontal scrolling: scroll left with ctrl+4, right with ctrl+6. Also, page up is now additionally mapped to the "Trig" key, page down to the "x^2" key, scroll left to the "e^x" key, scroll right to the "10^x" key. As alway, code on github.
I hadn't participated in the last days because I was waiting for downgrading to 3.6 OS, today that I had performed it Omnimaga didn't work : I promise to try the new release tomorrow because I'm looking forward to see how you implemented my request. If I could make 2 suggestions I think would be useful both inserting direct link to your Github into OP (because is only present into #159 message of Ott 11 2014) and uploading also here almost last release if not possible all the previous ones, because if happens again that we can't login to the forum we would have a mirror where downloading the program
Unfortunately I wasn't able to start the new version : I'm on OS 3.6.0.550 Ndless-ed, I've copied your 'nTxt.tns' to 'ndless' folder and also tried creating a new one with name 'nTxt.prg.tns' as shown into the image But when I try to start the program from the calculator I obtain always the error "This kind of document is not supported. NAMEFILE.tns" like this I've also copied again the 'ndless.cfg.tns' and performed a new Ndless installation but without success, what can I do? What is the problem? Edit (Eeems): Merged doublepost

You can try using TiLP instead: http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tilp/index.html Also, since you deleted your OS, you can get a copy of 3.9.1 to install here: https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=142298 DO NOT install 4.0, you will not be able to install Ndless until a new version is released.
I had solved myself in the meanwhile, problem is simply yesterday I hurried and I forgot there was specific option into Computer Link menu ('Instruments' -> 'Install SO') As you can see, I was able to full downgrading to 3.6.0.550 OS version Unfortunately I discovered also Ndless 3.6 isn't 'reboot-proof', but I'll keep this version both because if performed a reboot I can reinstall Ndless without having to connect to an USB port (today was useful for me while testing Nover) and also because OS is lighter and seems more responsive. I had leaved reinstalling 3.9.1.38 as last option, and I follow 4.0 Ndless development on their blog but sadly seems a project deprecated standing at its Github. I couldn't refresh my situation because Omnimaga didn't work in the lost hours, however thanks for the answer my friend because I didn't know TiLP Now that I have finally overclocked this litter monster, 'she' is looking forward to try your new nPDF release

Guys, I lost Ndless support some days ago and I was on 3.9.1.38 OS version on my nspire CX CAS, so this evening I installed DowngradeFix 3.9 'downgradefix391cx.tns' as advised but then TI-Nspire Computer Link Software version 3.9.0.455 didn't let me installing OS 3.6.0.550. So I first tried to perform a 'reset' and go back to step 3, but only the same : then I went to maintenance menu and deleted OS and documents using '4' and then '1' button. The problem is that pc software doesn't recognize yet the 3.6 OS file to send to the TI, I've tried also entering into Diagnostics menu and selecting '0. Additional function' -> 'Go to OS mode' and performing a reset but still nothing. I'm using the original cable included into the box on a laptop with Windows 7 64 bit, my hardware revision is P-0612E as shown there (from what I had read would be compatible with downgrading) And the maintenance menu shows'Operating System not found. Install OS now.' like into the image How can I force Computer Link into installing an OS version that I want to select manually, and not the last 4.X available? Please help me, I need txt and pdf support (apart from the overclock) and I don't want a milestone on my desk

I use calibre, an ebook manager which lets you perform this through the GUI, as well as through a script called ebook-convert. Sorry, I don't know when I will get the time to implement it. Also, it would be good advice not to rely on a calculator for the exam.
Don't misunderstand my words : I don't rely on the calculator for the exam, I hate who pass in such way. I'm studying night and day both verbal and training parts, my only thought is that it's always better owning a weapon that can turn out to be useful if necessary than haven't because formulas are (too) much, just it (maybe I wouldn't have written that words) Standing at your words implementing search and scrolling would have been easy, but I'll wait noiselessly, you'll have done yet a great work updating the library to 1.8 version (I hope pdf rendering would be improved by this update)

1) I agree that the 0.3 release is outdated, so I plan to make a "0.4 beta" release tomorrow. I won't be able to add any more features, but it will be a somewhat significant update. I will also include a "-DNOCJKFULL" build that will support EPUB and HTML (but will be bigger).
2) After the 0.4 beta version is released, I will add support for searching and the 3 scrolling modes. As I said, I will include a larger-sized build with EPUB and HTML support in the beta version, but support in the smaller version is contingent on the resolution of this bug.
3) I use the MuPDF Android app too!
1) What a great news, I'm looking forward to try the new version Can you advise any site or program to convert pdf files into epub? 2) Could I guess how much time do you think to need to implement both functions? I don't want to be on your's case, just ask because the next week I have an exam and the search function winds up being much useful to me 3) I love it, is the fastest I've found after a careful research https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.artifex.mupdfdemoBut I spotted also PDF Viewer included into Google Drive's app is light

I have yet to implement it. Should be easy. I'm used to tab being used on the PC the way it is used in nTxt. You're right that we could additionally map all this navigation stuff to the unused math keys. With a bit more work it may also be possible to make controls customizable.
I'll live with this setup of tab key, hoping we would have success early what is your actual idea/choice about the key to assign? I love this purpose, we could make this program still more useful and user-friendly : feel free to asking me for advices/reviews if you need

Adding a key for horizontal scrolling is a great idea. But I don't really want to repurpose the tab key. I guess ctrl+4 to scroll left and ctrl+6 to scroll right would make sense.
These combinations are yet here or you have to implement? I suggested 'tab' because is used on pc this way, and pressing 1 single key is more quick and 'innocent' than pressing 2 at the same time (such during an exam, understand me) EDIT : from what I see studying key map, also the 'trig' button that has yet an arrow-shaped could help us..

@matteob92
I've never tested Nspiroid with a TI-Nspire image with a higher version than 3.3, because these higher version flash images output a lot of 'garbage' stuff to the usb serial line, etc.
According to my tests you should be able to boot to the desktop screen in about 32secs using the N128M 3.1 image (with an average speed ARM cpu). On a mobile phone/tablet x86 CPU that boot figure drops to about 22secs. On a desktop x86 cpu is even faster depending on the frequency.
Short, the major speed bottleneck is the performance of the ARM-to-ARM binary translator (aka dynarec or jit). I hope future ARM v8 cpus will improve the situation, though.
So, these numbers should give you a feel for what to expect from Nspiroid using the 3.1 N128 flash image, which can easily be found on the net, and then report back your experience.
I didn't know this aspect of the question, I would be able to find also a 3.1 Boot1 file on the net? About my CX, I'll revert back to OS 3.6 to having the possibility to overclock it, so I'll make an attempt also with that version (that from what I've heard is more light and smooth)

@rkd2003 and @matteob92 Here you go, Nspiroid_fat_v112.rar with a larger LCD and the gray theme. Hope it works for you and your eyes will feel less pain .
Hi mate, in the previous days I've learned how using Polydumper https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=3829 and I dumped my 3.9.1.38 actually installed : this afternoon following some advises I was able to create a flash image on my notebook using latest firebird for Windows https://github.com/nspire-emus/firebird/releases and selecting Boot1, Manuf and Diags previously dumped + OS and Boot2 taken from this file https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=142298 (Boot2 obtained renaming it from .tcc to .zip). I saved the flash as 'T310CX_CAS_N128.bin' (it weights nearly 132MB) and renamed boot1 as 'Boot1cx.img' as indicated from you on reply #13, then I transferred the files to the internal storage of my device creating the /nspire folder into /sdcard like indicated into the OP. The problem is that on pc the flash boots properly and is also fast, instead on the Samsung Galaxy S4 that has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core CPU 1.9GHz with 2GB of RAM but is very slow into loading the flash image : the first time it needed nearly 2 minutes, the 2nd much more, and generally I have to select tools '...' -> 'File' -> 'Load flash...' and select again the bin file to make the emulator working. Am I missing something? There isn't a way to increase speed rendering?
