General Calculator Help / Emus, CalcGS, IStudio on Vista
« on: November 29, 2007, 10:00:00 am »
actually, I was just saying it could be done, but I don't actually recommend it really.

Also, Vista does look better. There are new features, and security enhancements also.

Zetaboards is done for people who want a site to start from scratch with. If you want to upgrade InvisionFree, there is still a bit of a wait for it.

Otherwise, get Ultimate, get Virtual PC 2007 (free) and run Windows XP in there for your stuff (I have Ultimate, and it works great for me, that, and DreamScene is sexy).

Other Calculators / TI 89 or 89 Ti???
« on: November 27, 2007, 05:31:00 am »
The 2nd edition of the Titanium (HW4) was rumored to have a slightly faster processor, but I don't know what happened much beyond that. I know the first Titanium and the 89 had the same processor.

Yeah the flights are always expensive. As for inside the country I think it depends of the currency rate, for example if I go in USA things may be pretty cheap for me because the rate is pretty low compared to what it was in 2002.

so, when you coming to visit then?

I have to agree that this guy is not what he claims to be. First of all, if Wikipedia went down, it would be all over digg.com and other similar sites. In order to take down a site that large that has that many servers, you would have to have a lot of machines in many different parts of the world under your control. If this is true that he has this kind of bot net, I doubt he is involved in the TI Community in any way. I hate to generalize, but that does not sound like anyone who would be here. Most of us are younger (I would dare say 95% of us in the entire community are either in high school or are an undergraduate in high school), and don't think to do this sort of stuff.

DJ, if this is targeted at your, then it may just be your admin account he is after. If that is true, then you might want to look at ways to prevent your account. Just a thought.

while putting in the batteries, hold [On] + [Clear] and it might reset your memory. You will lose everything but apps (yes, you will lose archived programs), but it is worth the risk I think.

Site Feedback and Questions / Spambot?
« on: October 27, 2007, 12:53:00 am »
he is a Cemetech member, let me cross reference the email addresses quickly.

Edit: the emails are identical on Cemetech and Omnimage, and he has contributed like a human on Cemetech, so, not a spam bot.

2 circles maybe, one larger and the other smaller than the intended size of circle.

or, we could just zip all the files, you have to download a zip file. It will not save space, but it will make all the songs downloaded before you can play them.

Generally when I login, I immediately scroll down at bottom of forums and click Today Active Topic. I was supposed to fix the view new post link on TI-Freakware too 1.5 years ago but then I left and removed myself from admin from both rivereye studio and TI-Freakware, but I didn't got reinstated since I came back and then I forgot x.x

well, when RS is back up and running fully, you can be an admin if you wish. Right now, the admin doesn't have many powers.
