Mega Bricks - a rather interesting twist on breakout.
« on: September 19, 2009, 08:33:56 pm »
As you can see with the bellow image, there is a shop and a boss involved. I made this image intended for the TI83-84 series.

Note: this image was done for fun but after I started working on it, i thought i would share the idea.

Mmmm from his wording, and his maxcoders post I am thinking this is just a conceptual screenshot.  But I could be wrong.

Indeed.  It would be cool for this to become an actual game!  (If it isn't already, we still haven't determined that :P)

It's a concept, but it would be nice be able to work with a developer to make it come to life. Depending on how large the file would be, it would be an ASM game or FLASH game. What I see happening, basic couldn't handle it.

Sorry for the double post. Who knows. If someone is willing to work with me, and has the ability, this would be sweet with 4-lvl gray.

i would be able to make something to this effect without greyscale and running slightly slower than piworld in ti-basic, but i'm busy with piworld so hopefully someone who knows like asm could develop this, it would be very very cool :O

this looks awesome :)

It could maybe be possible in BASIC' but it would be indeed slower. Maybe BBCBasic?

perhaps.  I made a BBC Basic breakout and it turned out pretty good!  I think the most difficult part would be coding the physics, but maybe thats because I've always had trouble coding breakout engines :P.  It would probably be huge if it was in BBC Basic because of the way protes are made though x.x

ALso I wonder how hard it would be to code in grayscale...

Oooh nice to hear, will you also put your older stuff there (assuming you're the same member who used this nickname on the old Omnimaga board)?

Yeah, I will. I'll need to dig through my old files to find the good ones.
