Well once I see what the game looks like, I could probably help you with ideas

also a written game synopsis would be helpful

Well, actually, the game is basically nothing right now. All it does is shows a title screen and then you can move the character around a place. I have basically no ideas on what the game should be like so that is why I need ideas for sprites and the game.

Hmmm, well from the stuff you've had me make, it sounds like a creepy, dark, horror, scary, freaky game! filled with zombies, monsters, skeletons, and etc. Also I believe you said this was a platformer? So I could see a pretty kick butt shoot em up greyscale zombie/monster platformer coming from this.....But I still am interested in a video so I can see your layout

Did you see the video?
I need help with ideas for it.
What enemies should there be?
What should the player's weapon be?
Should there be a shop?

And the most important question,
Where should I start? Should I start by adding the enemies or doing something else?
All I have so far is the movement of the player (almost) and a couple tiles for the game.

Found it, and were you walking on fire at one point? lol well You have many different ways to go with this. Hmmm, I do a lot of platformers as you might have seen, so I like how it is a platformer...A platformer RPG with a good story line sounds pretty cool!

Yeah, the walking on the fire part is an easy fix. I'll go fix it now.

well I think you have a lot of good stuff as far as sprites (says the guy making the sprites), but I think (at least this is what I do) you should do is play some other online rpg platformers, and start thinking of some story lines. Like here's a cheesy example:

Your a small kid. you run across a haunted house. you enter to discover a strange mysterious world of monsters and treasure!

You don't necessarily need to write that out, but if you can figure out a cool creepy adventure story, then you implement the sprites and movement as such, you should be good

BTW, I fixed the bug on being able to walk on fire.

How about a survival RPG. with a save feature so, the longer you survive, the longer you get to play! you can add a shop to get weapons to fight with either anything from a staff to a machine gun! but make it free roam so you can run between your house, a haunted woods, and a haunted house (which you can go inside), maybe even graveyard! All with enemies different to there specific areas

I'm not sure if I should add projectiles like using a machine gun but when I get there i'll decide.
I'll start out by making the map. I need some tiles for a house and a graveyard.
