Ok, it doesn't really bother me while surfing the net, but whenever I run a program that uses IE, I die.

IE crashes whenever I go to a page that isn't gotten to by a link, or the home page. I was able to set my homepage to google on it, so I can get to windows update and stuff, but does anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this? This is really agravating me. It keeps crashing HL2DM.

I think you have a virus of some sort.

I recommend installing either FireFox or Opera instead of IE7 and setting one of them as the default browser. Download a reliable, free, virus checking program if you don't have one already (I am using AVG Free), as well as a Spyware/Adware remover. If you REALLY need IE7, use the other browser to download and reinstall IE7.

figured out what it was, Windows update was installing IE7 a few days ago when a power outage hit and shut my pc off. It was just a bad install. Also, Half Life 2 Death Match uses IE to render pages on connecting to a server.
