RCA input to the computer

I found recently that my computer has RCA ports and so I got the bright idea to try to connect me Xbox to them to easily play my games with headphones since I can use my speakers. What I'm wondering is, how can I take those inputs, and output them to the screen and speakers in order to play my games? I've looked on Google but nothing helped me. Thanks.

Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

So are you looking for software to do it? Because if you are, I got VLC Media player to work for me. I play xbox games through a VHS->DVD converter and plug the sound lines straight into my microphone jack. You might have to play around with the settings a little to get it to not buffer the video though (it lags slightly)


If you are looking for something else, well, then be more specific ;D

You can build a statue out of either 1'x1' blocks or 12'x12' blocks. The 1'x1' blocks will take a lot longer, but the final product is worth it.

Are you sure they are inputs and not outputs? I know an old laptop of mine had an RCA video port, but it was only video out.

Yes they are all inputs. There's a silver box around them labeled, "input".

I'll try that. My brother has me trying to go through windows media center but I can't figure it out. :/

EDIT: Ok so I have VLC now, what do I do to get it to record the video and sound?

If you want to record the video and sound, I'm pretty sure movie maker can do it. I've done it before with movie maker. Just make sure that your computer is taking in the video and the sound and go to capture from device in movie maker, that's what I did.

I have no idea if you can record in VLC, you probably can, I just don't know how.
