I disagree, my Vista PC owns my XP PC(dual boot.

) the XP one had major issues with my motherboard even on a new install. Vista gets better FPS in games, and everything than the XP install did.

I prefer Windows Operating Environment, at least this one was secure since it didn't even had internet i think

... okay, I gave Vista a go TWICE now, and both times have been very disappointed. There is a severe dearth of good drivers for pretty much any piece of hardware that I own, half the programs I like to use crash to desktop or do other random things, and all games suffer huge drops in performance. Oh and have I mentioned there complete and utter lack of opengl support?! I gave it a go when it first came out and it sucked, and then when I built my new ownage computer I tried vista again on my windows partition. I figured hell, it's been over 6 months, they should have decent drivers by now and have worked out all the bugs right? WRONG. So far as I can tell, Vista's one good thing is that the stock theme looks pretty. Anyways, I shall never touch it again. :knight:

usually it take around 2-3 years formost programs to be compatible with a new OS. *cough*TI-Connect*cough* And i heard lot of people had problems with game being slower on Vista than XP. Maybe it's because of the high memory requirements though.

But the problem is that the jump is so huge between Vista and XP. While XP Professional can run at 20 MB RAM and an 8 Mhz processor (even if it is very slow), Vista can't run properly at 512 MB RAM.

true, windows should never have waited more than half a decade to release a new PC OS, the jump is way too high. Look at the previous OSes, there's never more than 2 years I think between each of them:
