[help plz] Image retention
« on: November 17, 2010, 09:19:56 pm »
Ok, so i was on my friends calc and it holds an image longer than mine does.
I mean, it really blurs.

Would i be able to make an lcd conditioning program?
If yes, how is the best way to do it.?

slowly switch between blank screen and black screen?
Slowly increase/decrease the contrast?

I have no clue about a solution, but I just made a program that rapidly changes the contrast just for fun! All you do is press and hold enter. When you let go, you might need to do [2nd][up] to reset your contrast, though...
Code: [Select]
AsmPrgm

Run it using Asm(prgmA ...or whatever you name it...

Somehow I don't think that's a good thing... The display sounds old :P

Don't know how to make a calc do that, though. Maybe BSoD? Just a possibility, please don't try it.

It could be an older calc or a newer one. I personally can't judge because while I got two 2001 83+ calcs, I don't have any older/more recent ones. I don't think there's a way to make the LCD blur longer.

Not sure. Blame TI for putting such crappy LCDs in our calcs. That said, the advantage of blurry LCDs is that it's easier to create grayscale.

Oh, whoops, I thought you wanted it to blur for grayscale or something x.x

Dunno how to fix that, though.
