Can you install a program to make a nspire CX into a CAS?

Subject says it all but if you can not are there any good programs to help me solve logs on a Ti-89?

There's nLaunch to install CAS on a non-CAS calc, but it only works on hardware revisions that are between A and I. Check at the back of your calculator the line looking like P-0313J. If you have a J like in the example, forget about it. If you have a letter between A and I instead of a J (don't care about the numbers), then it might be possible.

Check your operating system (ON, 5, 4). If it is 3.1 or 3.2.3, the procedure is easier than if it is 3.2.4 or 3.6.

for logs:
If you have log4(5)
Then you could just enter
ln(5)/ln(4)

I mean for log3(1)\(3x) how would I solve that? I also have a Ti-89 titanium.

Also if you know a program that can solve it and show me the steps, that would be great, also thank you so much for your help.

Ok, then just follow those instructions. CX instructions are in French but with Google Translate (or better) and with non-CX instructions, I am sure you can understand what evry sentence mean.

Well, you do this:
solve((ln(1)/ln(3))/(3*x)=0,x)
and you will get 'true' because for every x that term will be 0, as ln(1)/ln(3) is 0 and thus log3(1) is 0.

I cant do solve it says its a CAS program, thats why im trying to change it or get different software

I think he meant for TI-89. It also has the solve function, and it uses the same syntax.
