Yeah. I think that was between 2003 and 2006, back when TI had an APP store on their site. Then I believe the APP was re-released on DS website. The "good" 'ol days :P

i wouldn't do that but i expect most people would.

Well, maybe the earlier OSes could not link Apps.  I wasn't around, though, so I wouldn't know.

Rather, IIRC, the apps were transferable, but you couldn't run them because they were "registered" to a certain calculator, so to speak. There were also apps with trial periods, believe it or not.

The app was not sendable from calcs to others. It said ERR:VALIDATION. The lucky people who had a copy of DAWG from before it went paid could send the APP from a calc to another, though.

Oops... okay, but the basic point of "you can't use it on the second calc" was still in place. No bother sending something that you wouldn't be allowed to run anyway. :P I am pretty sure about the trial-period apps, though.
