TI-Connect

Always when I try to connect my TI-84 plus to my computer using TI-connect, I have to try it like 7 times before he notices my calculater. And when I finally connect it disconnect after a few minutes (without my calculater turning off).

So how can I solve this problem or is there better software to connect my calc to my computer?

Generally I just use TiLP instead because I often have problems with TI Connect. TiLP is located on ticalc.org

Hmm I already installed it, without uninstalling TI-Connect.
I didn't notice anything except TiLP doesn't work. He says he can't find libticables2-2.dll

Actually, almost everybody gets that stupid error message.  I guess the TILP people forgot to include it in this version or something, but downloading this and putting it in your main TILP program folder should fix that.

I had the exact same problem with TiLP and by downloading from the United-TI file, it was fixed.
But I realized that I had problem sending pic files, backup files, and group files via direct (USB) link, and changed to TI Connect.
I have no problem with TI Connect
btw i have Windows XP and believe it is 32 bit, but not sure about the bit...

It may be just luck, but since I moved onto my new computer, I havent had a single problem with TiConnect :/

The first day I installed TI-connect it worked just fine. But the next time I wanted to use it it didn't work anymore.

But how does TilP work? I read the readme but I don't understand it yet.

TiLP is learned through frustration, patience, and endurance. lol
Anyway, it is faster than TI Connect, and what you are doing is practically drag-and-drop from right side to left side.

Yes you can delete files with TiLP and did you try right clicking, pressing something like select device, put your model/connecting method, and enter (or go or start or whatever)?
