Hi, Omnimaga!
« on: November 11, 2014, 10:32:05 pm »
Hello. I'm super excited to be a part of this community, even if I'm a little late to join

I have a ti84+ and an 89 titanium, but I much prefer the 84. I'm fairly good at Axe and have had some success over at ticalc.

Here's some stuff about me:
-I'm 14 (younger than most, I guess)
-I like to row (as in crew)
-my favorite type of pie is pumpkin, 2nd place goes to apple
-I am quite active on the media site reddit.
-I have no clue what conventions and unspoken rules are used here, so please correct me!

Thanks, and I hope to be a part of this awesome thing you guys call omnimaga.

Edit: !peanuts (am I going it right?)
I should probably make myself a signature.

Nahhhhh. I'll do it later

Pretty much the only rules people will call you out on are 1) being an overall jerk and 2) double posting. Other than that, welcome to the forums! If you're good with axe, please share with us your current programs!

And, for all new users, here's some peanuts:

EDIT: you freaking ninja'd me by giving yourself peanuts o.o

Heya and welcome to the forums, I hope you enjoy your stay. :)

What calculator and computer programs have you released so far, by the way?

Also for conventions/unspoken rules, you can find the rules somewhere at the top of the page, but generally the unspoken rule is that the TI-84 doesn't exist and you must include instructions when posting new calculator programs. ;)
In case you are wondering where I went, I left Omni back in 2015 to form CodeWalrus due to various reasons explained back then, but I stopped calc dev in 2016 and am now mostly active on the CW Discord server at https://discord.gg/cuZcfcF

OK, well in that case I only have an 89 titanium and an 83plus?

I've made a start to an RPG, but I abandoned it. I've made a decent sprite editor, a gray scale in basic library, I drawing program (like paint) and some others. They're all at http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/authors/113/11322.html

One of the main rules that will get you insta-banned when broken is the following:
Quote from: Omnimaga Rules Page
Rule 3.14 Thou shalt NOT give thouself peanuts
...Sounds like you messed up D:

Just kidding of course, welcome to Omnimaga, have some double peanuts from me! As mentioned before just don't doublepost or necropost(revive old topics without anything to add to the discussion)/troll/etc (which is being an overall jerk)
I have no clue what you're talking about, DJ. The TI-84 doesn't exist? Do you mean that it's actually the 84+? :P
Also what's this thing with emoji, jax_? I like our own forum emoticons more :x

Hey, Jack, you might want to share some of your accomplishments, such as that one Minecraft like level editor game. I think that one is the best one you have made, and have shared with me so far.  :w00t: :D

That should be a rule

I thought the original was "help yourself to peanuts," which is the opposite of what you said :P

14 is a pretty common age to join. I can think of quite a few who joined at 14, or even younger than that.

OK, thats good to know. I'm used to being in a community where that average age is ~20 (reddit)
