Let's hope they don't go the way TI did...

I'm actually hoping their programming team goes the way of TI and their management doesn't. That OS looks like it could use some serious improvement.

Nice youtube vid. I'm really impressed so far. I'd like to get one, even though I wouldn't use it from maths. :P

I wonder if this will have a I/O link port. If so, I wonder if sound would be possible...

Who use calculators for math? ;D

I think it has one. However, I'm not sure if it's a port that has the right shape for connecting headphones...

Well, if it's 2.5 mm we can simply use old Xbox headphones or use a cheap adapter. Of course with USB we can use USB speakers but they are a bit more rare in some areas.

Hah, teachers get them faster =P

Google Translate:

The useful part of the screen takes up almost all of the window, minimizing the borders which we were entitled to earlier models.
The screen is backlit, as Graph on 75/95, which provides excellent readability under any lighting conditions from the point of use.
The contrast and brightness of the screen can be adjusted in 5 levels.
There are many support applications / add-in. 3 applications are preinstalled: Geometry, PicturePlot, and Conversion.
No engine computer algebra (CAS), which confirms that the Casio Prizm is designed to compete with TI-Nspire basic, but not the TI-Nspire CAS. However, support for add-in has helped develop and add an engine on Graph 75/85/85SD/95 CAS. All hopes are allowed! If we have an SDK or above, there is no reason that this engine does not see the day soon.
Memory storage has a capacity of 16MB, and comes home with 7MB used or 9MB of free (which is almost the same as last TI-Nspire, which offer more than 12MB of free after installing the latest OS 2.1).
Longer need driver or software for exchanging data with a computer! The Casio Prizm is simply recognized as an external storage device (usb stick, memory card ...). A simple drag and drop the mouse and voila! There were years that he had to fight for transferring data with a calculator, installing software drivers or owners who caused many problems, especially in IT. What we all dreamed for so long, Casio, inventor of the graphic calculator, did it!
The memory data storage are directly visible from the computer, the root of the player creates. The data from main memory (RAM) are in the subfolder @ mainmem.

Je le veux! Il peut être programmé, oui? Et oui, qui les utilise pour les maths?

I want it! It can be programmed, right? And yes, who uses them for math?

(sorry I'm still learning French)

This is awesome! I'm also very glad there's add-in support and I like how the calc is seen as a USB jumpdrive. I hope it will be possible to write our own add-ins. Are there any talks about a SDK? I did not have time to check Casio-BANK and Casiocalc.org too much.
