Yep. If you don't want that, you'll need something like an Arduino along with a WiFi adapter, and to program the Arduino to act like a computer running gcnclient.
By the way, gcnclient is included in the latest DoorsCS download.

Note that you'll also need to get a WiFi adapter and documentation for it, and program the Arduino yourself, as no such program exists AFAIK.
