I think Raylin cancelled his project, right? IIRC some life stuff came up then he kinda stopped all calc projects he was working on. I also remember joining one of the HCWP thing on Cemetech, which he founded, and he was not online... hopefully he returns soon. Maybe another contest could be started in the meantime?

It could also be due to finals, though.

Contests are a way of motivating programmers to do the best stuff out there, if given a short time limit, they'll make something good. Too long limit, they'll forget about it, no pressure, make something good. Given the exact time and pressure? Perfect programs!

With a long time limit, people wait at the very last minute to create or release something. I would never start a huge contest like the Axe Parser one during the school year, though, because most people have less time to work on something large and anything can happen, while during Summer, you usually have more guaranteed free time (although camping can occur)

I don't know about in here but ya in the solo cage matches Raylin had to postpone it a bit (I think that was the final verdict). With finals coming up soon before winter break in the United States school can get really hectic since it's semester finals. I'm thinking once winter break comes things will start easing up on people and more contests will go on and such. Like DJ said, school time can just be a hard time to program.
