if you need a manual: http://www.usersmanualguide.com/manuals/casio/FX-7000GA.pdf :)
and as i see the specs, it seems that is has the same resolution of a TI-83/84+ xp not bad for that time.. that means a lot for TI's calcs today xs

that's nice, can you program for it?

Yes, and TI better not start bragging about how they had graphing calcs since 1990. :P Heck, in 1990 the most recent Casio calc had more RAM than the TI-81 I think.

Basically Casio were the first to release a graphing calculator (1985) and they were the first to release a color graphing calculator (1996).

They did several actually. In 1996 they did the CFX-9850G then the upgrades that were the 9950G, 9970G and possibly the GB/G+ variations/re-releases, but all of those were discontinued in 2003 and replaced with a monochrome (well... blue) version of it called the FX-9750G.

Then in 2010, they released the Casio PRIZM series.

all cfx's except cfx-9860 and 9750 were color, i think. As I recall, they had 5 colors default, and some ppl did something similar to grayscales on B&W calcs to give them more colors. ;)

There were no CFX-9750G/9860G ???
They were the FX-9750G/9860G actually

As for the old color calcs, they had 3 colors, but some older models that had a 96x64 screen instead of 128x64 had an extra color (actually black, I think). My CFX-9850G only has 3 colors. Of course there's also the LCD background which is green-ish that can be changed to orange-ish.

Oh yeah, the old Casio FX-7000G, I tried it when I went to DJ_O's last week, it wasn't really user friendly. Also tried his 3-color CFX-9850G :P

Two beautiful specimens of calcs.

Was the FX-7000's main menu similar to the FX-9860's?

^ He stole them! O.O

j/k

Also the color calc is interesting, because each color got their own contrast settings, and contrast is more like color change. Had this calc ran assembly as easily as the TI-73, 82 or Nspire, we could have gotten nice effects with those colors, like on NES palettes.

And no the menu on the 7000G was not similar. I think the TI-85 style menu we see on every Casio calc now was introduced in 1990.

Does the TI-80 have no contrast settings?
