General Calculator Help / TI connect is acting really weird.
« on: November 14, 2012, 08:56:50 pm »
So I installed tilp (its a long story) and I found it didn't work.  So I uninstalled it, and I found that ti connect didn't work now.  None of the files register as calc apps.  So, incompatible file type.  And it doesn't detect my calculator.   What can I do?

I tried system restore, no good, it just won't restore.  I don't know why.

I also tried that guide by thepenguin, no good either.

Thanks

TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Weird Ti boy bug.
« on: November 12, 2012, 09:52:11 am »
When I start ti boy with some games it shows the loading screen.  then it goes blank.  On exits fine, but the game doesn't work.  I know just yesterday it did work.  Also, a lot of games that make saves create appvars but don't save.

General Calculator Help / Downgrading Questions
« on: November 01, 2012, 09:24:32 am »
Unsigned: patches 1.03 bootcode so you can downgrade your os.  Without it you would not be able to downgrade os with the newer calculators.  It also puts your name and a revisions number of your choice in about (2nd+mem->about).  One downside is that some ti boy apps will not work err: version, you will need to uninstall the mod to fix this.

the author of Epicfail, an alternative to unsigned, says that if it breaks your calc, you will not be able to return it because you have modified it.  The maker of unsigned says you will be able to return it if unsigned breaks your calc.  Something to keep in mind if you're deciding between the two.

But, does anyone know a game that creates saves and fits on a regular ti 84+?

Also, does anyone know about returning your calculator?  Can you just return it for a new one?

So I can't use brandonW's fake ram reset program because it resets ram as well.  This means I will lose TI boy saved data.  Are there any other fake ram reset programs or programs that will hide my apps?
ti 84+ OS 2.55 MP.  I will not degrade, epic fail does have a chance of breaking my calc

General Calculator Help / My calculator cannot receive a new OS
« on: October 27, 2012, 04:37:19 pm »
I tried sending os 2.43 to my calc, but it failed.  Now my calculator has no os.  Whenver I try downloading os it gets to validation and then error: turn on to turn unit off, then turn back on.  What do I do?  I've tried multiple computers.

TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / TI boy very laggy!
« on: October 25, 2012, 06:48:13 pm »
So TI boy plays with very bad graphics and super slow speed.  The display is all fuzzy, and the gameplay is laggy.  What's going on?  I hear some people say they can't distinguish speed with the acutal gameboy  O.O .  Are they doing something I'm not?

TI 84+

Also, how likely is it to break my calculator, because it modifies the os?

Other Calculators / Good Calculator Rpgs?
« on: October 22, 2012, 05:35:11 pm »
What are some good calculator rpgs to play?  I've already gone through the popular ones, dying eyes, desolate, etc.

Also, when I play swordmaster: the warrior it says err: archived although I have everything I need in ram.

Edit: I would prefer if they had graphics.

General Calculator Help / Can calc. gaming permanently crash my calc?
« on: October 04, 2012, 10:07:38 pm »
So is there a chance my calculator will die if I'm playing games.  I have a ti 84+.  Nothing big like final fantasy tales of magic 2 http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/272/27285.html  just some rpg's and mario, biggest file I've downloaded is rl3 by Kevin Oullet, 120 kb.
I don't use ti-boy either, I tried it and it lags like crazy.
I don't code on my calculator so I don't care if I lose anything, I just want to know if my calculator will break from playing games.
Is there any way to back up my calculator so it won't break, not just my files.
