General Calculator Help / TeacherGuard 2.0
« on: October 15, 2008, 04:38:59 pm »
Hey guys,

I have recently acquired a teacherguard app from a teacher...of course. I was just wondering how it exactly works. If anyone is up to looking through the code, i can post the app for you.

Thanks

TI-BASIC / Ti Basic on Computer
« on: October 04, 2008, 05:44:24 pm »
I am really tired of typing stuff onto my calculator. I have already used most of the tibasic on computer programs on ticalc, except that none of them are really good (in that i can actually program faster on the calculator...). Some of them i couldn't get to work, while some of them had this weird caps lock and non caps thingy. For example, to use the "output" argument, you would have to type in OUTPUT(1,1,"whatever"). If you wanted to display something you would have to use disp "whatever" If you wanted to text something it was Text(1,1,"387529). As you can see some of them are all lowercase, some of them are all uppercase while others are some upper and some lower case. I can't remember them all. If you use the wrong upper or lower case, it won't work on the calculator. I have tried. So yea, this is the end to my rambing. Oh and one of the purpose to this topic is so someone can direct me to a decent tibasic on computer program

Site Feedback and Questions / forum:downloads
« on: October 01, 2008, 04:50:39 pm »
I think the download discussion portion of the forums are way to cluttered. If Omnimaga.org gets any more downloads, you are going to have to scroll through hundreds of programs. Anyway to organize maybe? I don't really have any idea if this is possible or not, but its just a suggestion

TI-BASIC / BasicBuilder 2.0 Question
« on: September 28, 2008, 01:58:02 pm »
My friend wants to know exactly how much data basicbuilder can compress. I, personally, have never needed basicbuilder,
but my friend does. So, yeah, please tell me how much it can compress.

This is such a great replacement for mirage. It's kinda large for 83+ users at 2 app spaces, but the features are amazing.

Site Feedback and Questions / Question about uploading
« on: September 23, 2008, 07:59:18 pm »
Even though this is a gaming website, is it still possible to upload non-gaming programs/apps? For some reason, everytime I submit an app to ticalc.org, they reject me. Or atleast I think they reject me because they haven't update it yet.

TI Z80 / New Game
« on: September 20, 2008, 08:50:11 pm »
Thanks to DJ Omnimaga, I am going to start my FIRST EVER GAME!!! It's going to be really bad (you have been warned). I'm thinking about Omnimaga's idea of the mythology rpg, but i'm afraid that would be too hard and i would quit. Any ideas for a new game that's challenging for a new game programmer but not insanely easy would be appreciated. And, I'm putting the finishing pages of info on my mythology app (unfortunately educational). If you wan't i could upload it, but since this is a game site, I'll wait for permission=).

Plus is it is going to be an RPG, how exactly do you make maps. Not those really bad ASCII maps on ticalc.org, I mean actually discernible maps with OK graphics. Thanks, PEACE

TI Z80 / NEW FLASH APPS
« on: September 20, 2008, 05:51:52 pm »
Hi, i am new to this site, but I am a ti 84/89 basic and assembly programmer for around 5 years. I have never uploaded any of my flash apps or programs to any site. I have a folder of around 40+ flash apps as a result of previous programming ventures. I will upload them as soon as possible.

As for the project I'm working on now, it is called Mythlogy (I know it's spelled wrong, keeping it to 8 characters)

It has complete information of:
-Olympians (Main Gods)
-Titans
-Lesser Gods
-Folklore
-Couple really well drawn pics (in my opinion)
-Pages upon pages of interesting/useful/useless information
-Plus couple more stuff if you got ideas.

All right. I will keep you updated on the progress of this application. As for my other apps, if anyone can tell me how to upload them. They are (again in my opinion) useful and original. They cover and range of math, science, history, geography, english (literary terms/devices/misspelled words/synonyms etc..), astronomy (plus my really really crappy version of Astro from detached solutions contest page*) and a lot more.

*Whoever wrote Astro, if you read this, can you explain some of the programming in your file? I don't understand some of it, and it's not complete. But it works=)
