Personally, i think Ti Basic Developer Portal's policy on this should be applied...

Should Judgement Day arrive with only one entrant in the challenge, s/he will not win by default. Instead, Judgement Day will be postponed; Judgement Day is inevitable…

Winning by default is no fun... :(

I might be able to type faster on-calc than on the computer :)

TI-BASIC / Re: AI Tutorial
« on: May 28, 2009, 10:19:14 am »
I was able to get a rudimentary learning AI working on my calc using a neural network (google it, its cool).  All it did was output the keycode that I pressed.  But the cool thing was that I hadn't programed it to do that at all, it had learned based on trial and error.  (granted it took a bloody long time, and it didn't learn very well)

I want to add that a learning AI in TI-basic seems very unlikely (but anything is possible) and usually the best option is to hardcode AI to suit the task at hand. (it also has the advantage that the user doesn't have to play the AI many times for it to get good)

I really don't like releasing half baked games, especialy because I would have to rush through finishing even half of it to get an incomplete version in.

And I am still doing the Platformer Contest.  Its due in August, so I have plenty of time to work on that one.

Well, that would invalidate all the puzzles (and you would have to use something like the number pad to move diagonally), the reason I made the enemies able to move diagonally was so that they moved faster than you, and so you would be forced to use logic to defeat them.

But thanks anyway for the help, I just need to wright all the documentation and then release it :)

So if nobody has found any problems with this, I think I'll just go ahead and release it.

So Portal II is too big of a game, so I am switching to a smaller and simpler puzzle game. :(
