Well I would get 7 but my brother has a xp disk and it's only a single core computer. What's the difference between Linux mint, ubuntu and arch btw? And I am kind of a unix newbie, but I learn fast at that kind of thing.

Yeah, 18 next year.
I'm going to have xp on one side with 25% of the HD and some flavour of Unix on the other with the rest. Any suggestions on which I should get?

nice! hmm, maybe you could help me with ADE  my C++ version has kind of died because I don't know enough to do more then make the GUI.... congrats though, wish I was that good.
