TI-BASIC / Re: Celtic III Scrolling Background Tutorial
« on: February 14, 2009, 07:12:35 am »
hmm, maybe we should create a massive Celtic/xLIB tricks & techniques tutorial.
I know general tutorials already exist, but there are no special tutorials combining everything the community has to offer.
It could bring great graphics games in BASIC by more more people. ^^
You are making me to start using xLib/CelticIII...

Great graphics and the physics seem cool.
Hey, make animated and realistic collision of ball and bowls instead of just disappear them. xD j/k

But how do you do that strike glitch? I have heard of it in a review in ticalc.
And more, what caused it?

Very cool screen shot. And RPG's with puzzles are enjoyable except when you are stuck up in some part. x.x
I retake them some weeks after and maybe will advance. And if not, repeat in other weeks and so on...

DJ you didn't know matrix commands? When I discovered I was an ignorant about them, I rushed reading TI-BD...

Anyway, those commands seem nicely fast for me. the "t" stands for transpose iirc.

Heheh lol, if skype is fully compatible with my soundcard, like teamspeak, you people are screwed :P

j/k but you would be scared if i tried to pronounce some of the nicknames though :P

At least Omnimaga is pronounced the same way in french than in english tho :P

Also when talking in english in englsih classes back then I sometimes accidentally told numbers in french x.x, especially when they were written in digit form rather than text form
It would be hilarious, speaking nicknames u.u
We pause for 1 or 1/2 second before saying numbers.

Not a bad idea. A community comic. Or, we could have the Omnimaga webcomic! Featuring all the members of Omnimaga as characters, written and drawn by the comunity!
I don't think all will like that idea at first.

Online "work" is fun, I participated in some stuff with that idea.

geeky phrases ( roses are 0xFF0000, violets are 0x0000FF, for example)
Very good. :p

We can expect a great site. But I don't think I know enough for making those jokes. Understanding most of them is too much...

If I ever have a small pet animal, it will be a hedgehog. :P And because of you.

yeah French is a bit similar to Spanish and Portuguese. Italian too actually, but not as much. Italian is very close to spanish though
IMO Italian is more close to French, but if a French speaker reply that not, I have little to argue against.
For me we could speak about languages one more page, but it is outside this topic.
Finally I could use your RPG's to learn some French vocabulary like I did with English. :P

But why not extend outside Illusiat series? I am curious about other RPG bosses for calcs. Of course, it does not need to have more than 10k of HP to be a hell of a boss. (k=*1000)
I can always create a new topic for that, I respect the title given to the topic. :)

Wow, I had idea of some cool ASCII art in these kind of RPGs. But actually see them... Very nice and yes, with some imagination you can make ships and other things in ASCII.

I never saw a RPG with more than 100000 of HP or MP until now... But I would enjoy one around that, more is something strange. xD

And I can understand most of the french. ^^ (latin languages have enough similarities to understand)
English speakers can't say the same.  :P

I don't know what is the equivalent course to mine but is like a general Science/Math/Technologies  course.

I don't have time for code except some math classes to do a quick math program. And playing is out of question.

But I have plenty free time sometimes...

Those images are good but many of the tiles remember certain games...

Crap, you made me remember a wish I have. I want a really good, challenging and "half fun" boss. I definitely have to try some of your RPG's, and others too.

I am very disappointed in some RPG's like Golden Sun GBA series. The final boss was easy if you know when you have to attack and when leave it untouched. Because if you attack every time you can, it will blast your first and then maybe the second team. But if you only attack the right times, you never are punished by a hard attack which would be more fun to take 1 strong blast to difficult things.

Very nice!

I would prefer a smaller car and/or better sprites.
And the ability to choose at least 3 different cars. Each one with different level of capability to turn, top speed and acceleration.

This if,of course, is possible. Sounds like I played GBA version, doesn't it?

I wish that I knew asm... *sigh*   *Looks at the z80 asm guide on the table that tried to decrypt during about 6 months*   *Thinks that asm is really hard if the only programming language you know is Basic...*
I only knew BASIC and I managed. But you have to forget BASIC when you are learning ASM and start to know how the things work in that low level.
