Axe / Pictures without TIOS vars?
« on: November 15, 2011, 06:41:07 pm »
How do I turn a TIOS picture into an appvar so I can use it in axe programs without having to have it on my calc every time I want to compile? In a related question, how would I use it in my program. Appvars are one of the few things I haven't tried in Axe.

Slow as... something that is slow.

Molasses in January on the south pole?
Except that January is one of the warmest month of the year on the south pole.

For good multiplayer connection, you must have one of the calc waiting data from the other calc, then once the other calc sends it, it goes in wait mode, waiting for the updated data from the other calc, in a ping-pong fashion. That way if the connection is poor or if you disconnect the calcs then reconnect them, it will simply wait until both calcs are reconnected. This can be slow in some cases, though, but it allow for games to remain in sync...
Yeah, I did something like that. Slow as... something that is slow.

Its possible [|:{P
My bro made something like facebook chatting except that he quit on it before he finished :D
Ignoring the blood, it did work. Just not well. And i meant for games. The delay is acceptable for chat.

Okay, I did it.
Did what? Now I am scared about what you did and if it is creeping up behind me. I CAN SEE YOU.

I have tried this. It did not end well. The amount of blood exceeded safe flying limits. But seriously, I don't think calcs are the best for multi-system multiplayer.

Update? or upload?
Quite possibly both.
i just remembered I had an account. And I just found this board.
Which implies you had an account before discovering Omni? O.O

J/k welcome here :). As suggestion for your old games, if you ever get a cable but don't want to update them all, all Axe versions from 0.0.1 to 1.0.5 are still available on the forums here in the Axe section. :) I of course recommend updating them games, though, since some optimizations were added in later Axe versions. :)

Ah, by board I meant the introduction board. Not accidentally dividing by 0. Which I have done before. And i may update all of my games, but there are many. About one for every week I have been in school.
Yeah I understand the feeling. I still need to convert my two Reuben Quest games to xLIB one day. They run in Doors CS7, but they would still be much smaller in true xLIB format (while still running in DCS7), plus I remember when I translated others into English. It was so long X.x
At one point I started to change all of my BASIC to Axe. Then I saw how many there are. Then I sat in a corner, became overly emotional for a minute, then had some ice cream. A good use of time.

Yeah I remember having troubles finding stuff with parhenteses in it before. At least it's not as bad as Wordpad when searching through PHP, though.
Wordpad? Real men use notepad with the TF2 font.
