The Axe Parser Project / Re: Bug Reports
« on: May 10, 2010, 12:14:11 pm »
I agree with DJ Omnimaga, I have begun to insert notes and comments on everything I do. It helps for troubleshooting. It seems like you error seems like a code-side thing, maybe a typo????

I never liked JBasic, too tough to use. Plenty of other langauges.

I've been looking for projects like this, maybe you can use a USB wifi adapter and map to a battery with better capacity. Might work, but will be tough.

Hello and welcome to Omnimaga!!! Great to see an older programmer, being in the community from 1995 is a long time!!! I own a TI-84+ Silver Edition (it sucks because its serial number is H!!! DAMN, no TI-Boy SE In class. X.X) Oh well, I have been in the TI-Calc Programming scene since 2008, I have been in the computer scene writing batch files since 1998 (I wrote my first very simple batch file at 4 years old! I've been fluent in computers since very young! XD), and I have been in the general programming scene since 2004. Although I am not very good at calc programming, I have tested and checked out a lot of calc programs, especially lately, so I'll check your stuff out and give feedback as I see it.

Sorry for the long message, have fun, and enjoy your stay here!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I will contribute as much as I can, and I will update about any projects I do. I am very interesting in working with calc programming, and as said, I hope to learn a lot here. Thanks guys a lot. Oh and DJ, you are right. Not everyone can handle that trolling crap. Just thought to give some advice. XD

P.S. Check out this post for those who know VB. I need some help with a slight dilemma.

Alright Geniuses of the World, here is a problem you guys can try your hands at for me. I have a console application with an added form for the next release of my most successful project, XP Maintenance. Just one problem, when the Form calls a method that executes system shell commands, while the shell commands operate without much problem, the GUI on the Form freezes and goes white. Not too good-looking to an average user, so i want to know if it is possible to fix this problem. Source code attached.

heh heh. Metriod source code.....many of these games consistently used repititive images and maps in order to save space. think how much more space would be needed to incorporate seperate images for EVERYTHING. i mean we are talking about an old low-memory 8-bit NES cartridge. Not a PS3 blueray disc. XD

Introduce Yourself! / Hello! I am Stephan!

Hi, I am Stephan. I am probably already well known on the omnimaga IRC server, but decided I would give my forum account a jump start. I know little calculator programming, but hope that my experience on Omnimaga will teach me how to program on the calc well. I am an avid Visual Basic programmer, so I guess that is a semi-start, considering that TI-84 programming incorporates BASIC coding, and VB is a very modified and enhanced form of BASIC. Hope to learn a lot here and meet new people!!!! Oh, and DJ, please stay on IRC, people are gonna troll and be stupid, there is nothing you can do, and you just gotta deal with it. That is one of the risks, and if I've learned anything so far in my life, I've learned you can't defend everyone, and sometimes not even yourself. So please take that advice in your mind the next time some moron trolls, floods, spams, or gives you other problems on the IRC channels. The internet is a crazy place.
