Computer Projects and Ideas / Re: XP Maintenance 3.2 Announced
« on: May 17, 2010, 02:10:38 pm »
It's my most important project. It will stay alive as long as I have something to say about it. XD It's not a big deal, just there was some delays, nothing that can't be overcome, of course. XD but thanks for the concern, that shows people actually care about my project. That makes me happy. :D

Unfortunately, the project could not be completed, so the date of release is pushed to Wednesday May 19, 2010 at the latest of 5:00 PM.

Yes, just much simpler. It relies on MS maintenance and management apps that are already pre-installed. The idea was to simplify the process.

It is a simple maintenance program that has been my heart and soul for the past year and a half. It evolved from a batch script written for a friend to a program that has achieved over 10,000 downloads. It has been my pride and joy of programming so to speak, because it is the first time I have ever submitted any coding to the public domain. So yeah, take a look, may get useful to keep your computer up to performance, but as it is in development, there are some bugs and no guarantees your computer will be lightning fast or anything, but it may. It just uses If statements to check the OS, and runs the appropriate chkdsk, cleanmgr, disk defrag, win defender (only on os XP or later) and other command line goodies. Hope you guys find it useful :D.

General Calculator Help / Re: For NSpire: C or ASM?
« on: May 12, 2010, 11:03:20 am »
ASM can be trouble on proccessors that cannot handle it, C might be better plus any Computer OS can run it too with any neccessary software. So yeah, I would go with C, but that is my opinion.

Project M (Super Mario) / Re: Project M Reboot
« on: May 12, 2010, 10:50:35 am »
I would like to see that you can implement the kitty mode that you get from eating the leaf in Super Mario 3. That was cool. I kinda miss that game, and it's great that you are going to recreate it. Please let me know when you finish. It's cool if you don't do the kitty mode thing, it was just be even cooler if you do. Good luck either way! :D

Computer Projects and Ideas / XP Maintenance 3.2 Announced
« on: May 12, 2010, 10:10:51 am »
Ok here is the synopsis. Don't want to seem like a jerk, I've already pretty much acted like one here anyway. And I say sorry too much.

But back to the idea:

I am officially announcing the development of XP Maintenance 3.2. This is the first time batch will no longer be used for ANYTHING. I felt it was too much of a hassle for the idea of a simple computer maintenance program. So an array of programming languages were put on the table to replace batch files, and Visual Basic.net was selected due to how easy it is to code in VB.net. There have been a few setbacks in this new release, but development is nearing completion. The preliminary release date for Beta 1 is Saturday May 15, 2010 at 7:00 PM. If the date changes for any reason, I will post here to let you guys know. Project information and downloads can be found at http://www.xpmaintenance.com/ or http://www.joldzic.net/. Please give feedback when I release, my feedback form has returned very limited results. Thank you, and my apologies if I seemed arrogant at any time in this posting, it's the morning, I am not thinking straight. Once again, thank you. :)

Sorry about that DJ. Yes I was thinking of a totally different project not related to here. I was thinking of Visual J++, which I did not like. I don't know how I got the two confused. Project recognition is NOT my forte. XD I am a complete moron and I feel like an ass for saying that. Sorry Eeems, I did check it out a little bit, it actually is very good. Again, I mixed up jBasic and Visual J++, and thats why I said that. Sorry. :(
