General Calculator Help / How are Nspire OS apps defined?
« on: January 03, 2013, 07:04:02 pm »
How are the Nspire OS apps (calculator, graphs, notes, etc.) defined? As in what makes them do what they do? Where and how are they stored?

I don't know how to compile the source for nLaunch properly; can anybody compile a stealth DEBUG 1 version for me?

EDIT: Nevermind, solved

Other Calculators / TI-Nspire Prototypes
« on: September 25, 2012, 05:56:21 pm »
On EBay last night, I saw a TI-XXXXXXXXXXXXX CAS and a TI-Nspire+. The TI-XXXXXXXXXXXXX CAS is familiar to a degree, but the TI-Nspire+ is interesting to me. It appears to have a TI-Nspire CAS body and a dark grey TI-Nspire CAS+ removable keypad. Is the TI-Nspire+ familiar? I found it at http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Texas-Instruments-TI-NSPIRE-CAS-Graphing-Calculators-NSPIRE-/251153358949

I have a TI-Nspire CX CAS, and so does my friend. I wanted to show him the reboot bug where in French, you add two empty strings together. Anyway, I went to change the language, selected French, and hit Enter. It gave me the same popup as you get when you run ndless_resources.tns. I wanted to keep Ndless, so I selected no and pressed Enter. It rebooted, in French, and kept Ndless. Although no harm was done, I am curious as to why this happened. Ideas?

« on: July 18, 2012, 04:42:01 pm »
My TI-84+SE (OS 2.43 patched, Boot Code 1.03) isn't recognized by TI-Connect. It stopped working when I installed the patched 2.43 OS... after that it would take a few times to get it but it would eventually work. Now it doesn't work at all. Please help

Miscellaneous / Computer geek test
« on: July 18, 2012, 12:26:29 pm »
I just took that computer geek test that some people have in their signatures, etc. I got a score of 100, by answering all the questions honestly.

I feel this strange need to program some sort of game console emulator for the Nspire. But I can't decide which console to emulate. Ideas please?

TI-Nspire / NspireGOBAN
« on: June 11, 2012, 09:34:02 pm »
Even though I don't expect to place in the contest, I think I'll enter for the sake of programming.
Anyway, my project is NspireGOBAN, a go game for the Nspire. It will use C and possibly some ASM. (Requires Ndless, obviously  :P)
It will probably be for both grayscale and CX, although plans are subject to change. I pretty much just started it tonight, since finals are over tomorrow.

Other Calculators / Does PTT interfere with Ndless or vice-versa?
« on: June 07, 2012, 09:08:48 pm »
I know there will be a time when I will have to use PTT on my Nspire, so I might as well ask now: does Ndless+PTT=brick or something like that?

Other Calculators / Finding the CX CAS Signing Key
« on: May 19, 2012, 09:35:36 pm »
So, I went to Hackspire and found the page on OS upgrade files, and it says that the key (hex-edited) is 128 bits and between 30 81 89 02 81 81 00 and 02 03 01 00 01. But that's for the .tno and .tnc files. I tried it with the CX CAS 3.1.0.392 .tcc file, and looked in the right file and everything, but I couldn't find it... anybody have any ideas?
