TI-Nspire / Nespire keymapping
« on: April 14, 2012, 08:30:03 pm »
I just recently got Nespire on my Nspire CX CAS. It's awesome!!!!!!
There's only one thing I dislike: in the CX version (I have no idea about normal Nspires...) the A and B buttons are on the wrong side. Could it be possible to modify the code to change this? I can live with it like this, but it would be nice...

General Calculator Help / Nover 2.1 Reboots TI-Nspire CX CAS
« on: April 13, 2012, 10:35:36 pm »
I saw the announcement of Nover 2.1 a few days ago, and today I decided to try it. So I downloaded the .zip, and put nover.tns on my TI-Nspire CX CAS, in ndless/files/nover (I keep ndless apps and other ndless-related stuff in ndless/files). Okay, cool, I have Nover! So I ran it. It rebooted my calculator, but it booted fine. Weird. I read the instructions again and noticed it says to put it in ndless/startup. I copied it to there, and tried to run it. It rebooted my calculator, and when it did that, I held ESC to disable startup programs. I have since deleted it, but I'm curious as to why it does this. Does anybody know?  ???
P. S.
Perhaps I'll try it again, once I know what I did wrong...

Miscellaneous / Hobbies

I am very curious as to what Omnimaga users do in their spare time (besides calculators). I'll start. I like to disassemble computers and stuff like that. I actually took apart my old Nintendo DS Lite that nobody would buy off of me.

TI-Nspire / C or ASM IDE for the Nspire
« on: April 12, 2012, 05:30:45 am »
I'm thinking of coding an on-calc IDE for C or ASM for the Nspire, with syntax highlighting and stuff like that. Is this a good idea? Would you like to see it? Tell me in the comments!

Introduce Yourself! / Hi.
« on: April 06, 2012, 03:05:56 pm »
Hello. I'm TheNlightenedOne. I discovered this community around mid February of 2012 (via Google search). I joined in early March, but I forgot to post here. I have to say I really enjoy it here.
I'm a huge math, calculator, and computer geek. I currently own a TI-30XIIS, a TI-84+SE, and a TI-Nspire CX CAS. I know TI-BASIC, am learning C, and I plan to learn Lua and ASM (Z80 and ARM) over the summer. I have coded some things on my calculators, like a Pythagorean Theorem solver (TI-BASIC, for the TI-84) and a Fibonacci number generator (TI-BASIC, for the TI-Nspire). While I have only one post, I do browse Omnimaga often. I'm currently working on a TI-84/83 program for my teacher so that they can keep gradebooks on their graphing calculators. My next project is either a game for the TI-Nspire or perhaps a USB mass storage app for the TI-Nspire. I have a friend who also likes math and calculators, and I plan to get him on Omnimaga soon  ;D.
So now that you know a little about me, you'll see me around more.
