General Calculator Help / Ti Nspire Security Bits
« on: August 19, 2014, 10:15:56 pm »
My arrow keys are a bit buggy and I suspect that the rubber contacts need to be cleaned on the inside, however I do not have the special security bit required to open the device. Could someone link me to a page that sells them?

General Calculator Help / Has anyone experienced this before?
« on: August 19, 2014, 08:52:33 pm »
So my ti nspire calculator was booting, and then all of a sudden the screen started to get lighter. A lot lighter. Terrifyingly lighter. I thought for a second that it was going to explode so I hit the reset button.  *.* Everything went back to normal on next boot. It's not a problem anymore but I am curious if anyone else has experienced the same and what caused the problem.

It told me I needed an update... then I realized that I had been using my 3.1 cas os on my cx lol. Switched to 3.6, tried it out, and it's definitely nice! Looking forward to future updates :D

For questions, we have a seperate thread:

Which kernel are you using?
Thanks for the thread link, I'll be sure to use that when/if I have further questions.
The kernel I am using is the newest one from the nightly builds on TI-Planet (http://tiplanet.org/nspire-linux-builds/kernel.html)(v3.6-26201-g341712f)

Sweet, now all we need is half-life! Also, if you are using a paid version of quake, you will also need to put your gfx.wad file in the id1 directory.

How does one get usb peripherals to work? If I plug in my usb hub while on the Nspire home screen it tells me the peripheral is malfunctioning. If I attempt to do so inside the bootloader or inside linux nothing happens. I am very confused! D:
