TI Z80 / Re: Half Life 2: On-Calc

Nice!
A full physics engine with 64-bit precision however, is a little more complex.  I will do my best to compress it.
64-bit precision? I think something's wrong here...

Yeah, I already looked about a week ago. I was only able to find 2.0 and 1.7.

Edit: I think some people might consider the being able to read and write continuously to be what separates what is called "ram" and "rom" but I consider it ram since its partially accessible without needing to switch pages.
Yeah, I think the problem is that we aren't talking about the same thing here.

News / Re: TI-Nspire calculators now have Ndless possibilities
« on: April 19, 2010, 03:54:56 pm »
True they need to remain SAT/ACT compliant.

Altough, my main worry with the future of the TI-Nspire is that TI won't start releasing hardware revisions of their machine that breaks compatibility with old programs like what happened to TI-Boy SE on the 84+
I say port the computer emulator for the GBA for pc by recompiling it for the N-spire
Sure, if you want 2fps, go ahead.

TI-Nspire / Re: CAS OS on Standard TI-nspire [development idea]

About the reset button on the Nspire:
-v1.1 to 1.7 : the button deleted all files from the Nspire, or if in 84+ mode, did a full reset (RAM + ROM clear)
-v2.0 and 2.0.1 : the button just reboots the calc, and if in 84+ mode, does only a RAM clear
Ooh nice, good to know. Can't wait for Ndless 2 :)

There is only one thing that could make the menus better: make them in 3D and 8 level grayscale. Oh, and add some lobsters as well! ;D

Seriously, those menus are epic!!!
Lol, nah, 16 level grayscale and sound

jk. Lobsters seems like a good idea, though :P

Yes, Axe needs to have a theme song to play on the main menu xD

I don't think the 83 has bcalls. There are only calls.

TI-Nspire / Re: Use of OTG on the nspire possible?
« on: April 17, 2010, 01:27:05 pm »
Yeah, I don't like tap-to-click, so I have it turned off on my laptop. But the Nspire doesn't have tap-to-click so I think I would be quite fine with it. Also, the touchpad has all the letter keys together which I think could be nice for typing

I bet on the Nspire we could actually support FAT32 formatting instead of just FAT16 :P

Project M (Super Mario) / Re: Project M Reboot
« on: April 17, 2010, 09:11:30 am »
My suspicions that the game was running slower oncalc were correct. I have now fixed the problem by disabling the memory access delay, which was adding a clock cycle for every opcode read from the flash (totally throwing off my interrupt timing expectations). It seems to completely run fullspeed now.

Awesome music!  Is there going to be more than one track?
First I'm going to have to decide my final storage method for the music (it's pretty freaking huge at the moment). But yeah, I'll probably have multiple tracks, and I'll try to add in-game sound effects as well :)

Nice!  Does it have any noticeable effect on speed?
It's hard to really tell, since there's no FPS counter oncalc. But in Wabbit it seems to still run fullspeed. The game is really designed to run in 6MHz, so I have 9MHz left to process sounds.

Some of you may have noticed a bit of a beeping noise replacing the percussion about half the time. I've fixed that by increasing the frequency of the white noise channel. Much better-sounding track here.

Mhmm I've been messing around with L6 a bit. I wanted to figure out how to store data directly to the graph buffer instead of going through the other commands. However I can't really figure out what I am doing wrong that cause nothing to be changed. Here's my code:

Code: [Select]
.OMNOM
[00FFFF77FFFF8BFFFF91000000DFFFABF81F8B00C36E0000->Pic1
Pic1->{L6}
DispGraph
Oh, you're going to need to use the copy command. Since you have 24 bytes there, you should do conj(Pic1,L6,24)

I've added support for sound-playing on the 15MHz calcs :D

I recorded some music, which is playing during the demo, directly off of my calculator. You can listen to it here
