TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Re: TI-Boy SE

Well, I don't think .gbc would always be twice as big. It might be for Pokemon though. But yeah, if a GBC rom supports original game boy, it might work in TI-Boy.

Say, since you've come this far, what would it take to get it to run GBC games, too?
And would it be possible for it to use link functions someday?
GBC isn't very likely. It has quite a few more hardware features I would have to implement, not to mention twice the RAM and processor speed.
And linking could be possible... I haven't really tried it at all yet though.

Other than the odd "L" calculator that works (still not sure about that), all data, even the data I collected a while before you started, showed that A-G worked, and H-M didn't.

I think "modulo" is actually the correct term.

Sure it uses them - just not all 128KB.

I mean we might not be sure that it does or does not use all 128kb.  Even though we can't access them, do we know for sure the TiOS can't?  (then again, we don't know if they still exist!)
Well, given that we know exactly how the TI-OS accesses them and we do so in the same way, it's doubtful that the OS is accessing any more RAM than we are.

Hmmm, This is all very interesting...

Unfortunately I can not contribute as of now, because I can't find my calculator! D:
I think i left it in a safe place though, so i should be able to pick it up tomorrow.

EDIZT:  Ninja'ed by Tsukasa :/  Congrats on your first Ninja ;D.  Anyway, I don't know if we are sure the TIOS doesn't use them, some peoplpe theorize that all of it is critical for USB Linking.

Sure it uses them - just not all 128KB.

I remember tifreak8x had trouble running APPs on his calc (crashing), I wonder if that has to do with faulty hardware and that could be the case of NecroFuckk's calc too?
DJ_Omni, NF's problem was actually that ALCDFIX wasn't fixing the display issues. :)

can one of the ram-tests for Ti-Boy have caused it not to work on my calc? :[
Just run this code, may fix it (though also slow it down):
Code: [Select]

I was playing through the game again, and I think when I removed slide delay, at the same time I added a glitch with random force floors... o_o If they try to push something into a wall, they will keep pushing in that direction instead of trying different ones each frame. I should probably fix that.

Alpha 0.0.3 has been released here!

The app builder works even better now, TI-Boy itself has some speedups, and I included a new homebrew ROM. Also, it shouldn't crash on the buggy hardware - instead it gives an error message. The readme also now has information on the hardware glitches and which ROM sizes will fit oncalc.

Project M (Super Mario) / Re: Progress of "M"
« on: September 25, 2009, 06:32:11 pm »
ah indeed, that still needed a lot of work :/
Project M was alreaddy looking like a game, not just a demo
Well, though Project M looked shiny on the outside, it was a mess on the inside. :P It was getting hard to correctly implement important features, so that's why I decided I should start fresh.
