TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Re: TI-Boy SE

I converted kid-icarus (128kb) and it didn't fit on my TI-84+. The only thing I have on it are the apps that are on it in the beginning and MirageOS. Halps.
Some of those apps that came with it are probably big (and a lot of them aren't very useful). You can delete the ones you never use.

ok, so yeah...I stayed up very late two nights in a row programming, and I got caught, so yeah....I got my calc taken away and my password changed, so I only have access to the comp when my 'rent's log me in....so yeah....
I'm going to be semi-gone due to this fact, and all my progress is going to be halted...
I will be coming back when I get my calc/comp access back, which will be at the next reporting period...
So this means I'm not going to be as active on the forums or IRC for a few weeks, sorry about that...and I feel really stupid for doing that...but at least I should get my calc back and such, so yeah.
I'm going to log on to IRC and say goodbye now, and for all those I don't get to say goodbye to I'll say it now
goodbye for a little while guys
Wow... this really reminds me of myself, a couple of years ago... O_o Almost the same situation (including the repeatedly staying up at night programming, getting caught, getting calcs taken away, passwords put on... lol)

i transferred it to ti 83+ to my friend in school, and it worked fine... Could it be another hardware change through the different versions? (i mean like ti boy).
btw my friend has a pretty old calc, although he has latest OS patch (1.03 i think or whatever latest OS it is on TI 83+). And he got the full version of chip, not the divided one, because he only has omnicalc in the calc (he said he wanted to type in lowercase letter)
Yeah, they started making the LCD more cheaply so it responds slower. Maybe I should add in some more delays (though I'm not sure if the speed loss would be worth it)

nope, I always have it on my calc, just in case, and it has no effect on it :/
Have you run it recently though? A RAM clear or maybe another program could have messed with it (the TI-Boy patch comes to mind here :P)

Hello, I'm sorry if I posted this wrong here, but I'm new and I have a question.  :)

I downloaded a rom (pokemon red.gb), renamed it to pokemon.gb, and drug it on Drag your rom here!.bat cause the readme said I needed to do that to make an app for my TI-84 plus. But when I did that an error message came from wabbit.exe. Could someone please help me?  :P

(If I can download the pokemon red app here it's ok with me too)
Try this fix: http://ourl.ca/3662

They aren't too slow, though.

Also, I was able to send the Red version to a friend's 84 calculator. The file was about 2.8mb, but the file on the calculator was only a fraction of that. Why is that? I had almost enough room to send two copies of it.
TI Application files are bloated (they are stored in an ASCII hexadecimal format instead of raw binary)

I like it. Btw would this be the first chips clone to be released for calc?
Yes, except for an unfinished one on the TI-89. I think I might add something about that to the description.

Edit: Newest revision
Code: [Select]
Chip's Challenge for TI-83+ is a clone of the famous puzzle game
of the same name on the Atari Lynx and PC, the first ever for TI.
This is also the first game for the TI-83+ series to have 8-level
greyscale graphics! Included are all 149 levels from the PC version
of the game. But enough about that - perhaps you're wondering what
this game is all about. "Nerdy" Chip McCallahan is trying to join an
exclusive computer club called the Bit Busters, but first he must
pass the initiation. Chip has to find his way through a magical
clubhouse, which is full of obstacles and tools like teleporters,
invisible walls, pushable blocks, force floors, water traps, locked
doors, and plenty of monsters. This game will supply hours and hours
  of nasty puzzle fun!

Okay, I just came up with an overview which could be used in the Ticalc description and the Readme. Any suggestions for improvement are appreciated!

Other Calculators / Re: TI-83+/84+ OS glitches compilation thread (all OSes)
« on: September 20, 2009, 09:37:59 pm »
Wow, those are quite interesting.  Did you find all these yourself?  Also, I back on my old 84+, before I lost it and got an 84+SE a few moths ago, I had Doors CS 6, Mirage OS, and Dark Pheonix on it. (I had other things, of course, but those are inapplicable to this situation :P) I would run Dark Pheonix from one of the shells( I think it was mirage, but it could've been Doors), and once in a while it would do the same  kinda speed glitch thing, where you would have to hold a key for around 3-5 seconds before a response, and the only way to fix it was to either go into the other shell (I think Doors, but once again, I could be wrong) which would only fix it maybe %30 of the time, or do a ram clear.  I don't know if this is related to the one you mentioned...
That glitch sounds like a program change the status of the link port, making the OS constantly wait for data. That should be fixable by entering anything on the homescreen and pressing Enter (like "0")
