Is it possible to display complex number result a+bi as form of (b,a) like attatched picture?

I've changed document settings so many ways but failed to make same result form.

And only was possible to make
(Rectangular) a+bi
(Polar) (r∠degree) or (e^(i*radian))*r

Please let me know the way.

General Calculator Help / Re: Nspire usage, csolve() question

Just for reference, (in case you were wondering), the nspire doesn't like to multiply "x(1+y)" because it thinks that x is a function and 1+y is the argument.

Now I understand it.
Thank you.

Lithium-Ion Battery Routine Maintenance and Care for TI-Nspire™ Handhelds and TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition Graphing Calculators

Do not leave the handheld/graphing calculator connected to a charging device for longer than 3 days.

It does't seems Long time charge is so critical,
but I would better not to plug it monthly long or more.

Thank you.

I do not know what type of battery the Nspire CX uses, but I heard that with some mobile devices, always keeping them at 0% or 100% reduced the battery capacity to hold a charge over time. However, since some batteries stop receiving a charge at 100% (which isn't really 100%) then it might be fine to charge it fully depending of the device/battery type.

However what is exactly the calculator problem? Does the TI-Nspire simply refuse to charge? Does it always displaying the "Charging in progress" icon even when it's not plugged in? I am unsure if I could understand your question.

Battery is original one (Model : 3.7L1060SP, 3.7V, 1060mAh 3.92 Wh).
Li-ion or Li-Polymer.

And no visible problem.
Just wonder if it can cause reduce life or capacity of battery.

I plugged NSPIRE CX CAS(3.2.3.1233) on via Laptop USB port.
It is plugged all the time.

Laptop is turned off during night and sometimes during daytime.

Maybe calc is on charged about 10 to 14 hours for a day.
So battery is 100% all the time.

I have three questions.

1. Is it a bad habit for rechargable battery?

2. Is it recommended to get rid of battery and to use via USB (or wall charger) power
if the calc is always plugged?
(and which is better between USB and Wall charger?)

3. calibration(full discharge to 5%) is necessary for TI calc too?

TI Calculators / Re: Nspire TP get into hibernate too often

I observed calc about a week.
But the symptom wasn't provoked again. (regardless of setting, and batteries)

Maybe there was some bad connect of battery,
so calc was turned off from standby mode.

Thanks for watching this aticle.

You've written it wrong the first time, don't use implied multiplication.

You should read the manual / quick ref. guide for basic things like this, you'll learn a lot.

Thank you very much.

Other Test

* Setup
Power Standby : 3 Minutes

Click 'OK' and wait until screen's off.

Exactly 3 Minutes later,
Screen is off.

Maybe internal clock (generator) is fine.
(No faster of slower)

Strange that this happens. Do you have Ndless installed by the way?
No other OS or app isn't installed.

My document is empty.

Booting Progress bar means two possibility (I think)
ⓐ Calc was normally get into hibernate mode for any reason
ⓑ There's power problem (battery or capacitor) occured, so calc was shut down accidently.

Is there any difference between ⓐ, ⓑ that can be examined after reboot?

Model : Nspire TP 3.2.0.1212. (white-black color)

Problem :
Quote
1. Set HH Setup Hibernate : 5 Days
2. Power off(=ctrl+on) the calc at night.
3. Next morning clicking power on button, booting progress bar show up
(doesn't it means calc was hibernate mode?)

I thought it is because of the battery was out.
So replaced AAA 4 alkaline batteries all to new ones.

But the problem was not solved.

Only when setting it to 'hibernate : NEVER',
Problem(Booting Progress Bar) doesn't shows up.

Is it the only solution??

P.S)
1. No other problem without it

2. I used smartphone rechargable battery for calc 1 years ago.

Heya welcome here! Nice that you also got your calc to work with an alternate battery. :) Too bad it doesn't charge via USB, though. Could it be that the battery doesn't support it (or doesn't in this configuration)?

I connected RED, BLACK only.
(BLACK connected to 3 and 4 pins together)

For charge via USB, (yellow) or (white) line should be connected... I think

I followed up your great work.
(used motoroi X720 Battery that I doesn't use it any more.
And nspire Touchpad)

First,
Tested it briefly to know whether it works or not.

It worked Perfectly!

Second,
Assembled battery like below

(soldered nothing.)

Battery pack is little bit thicker than official one.
So there's a gap in back panel.

Anyway it was powered on well.
But couldn't check the battery status.

(Of course AAA batteries was removed already)

Maybe should I solder two sets of pins (++ / --) together to solve this problem?

Status problem Fixed

P.S) It seems it doesn't get charged through USB connection
