News / Re: HP Prime Wireless Kit announced, but no release date
« on: February 22, 2014, 07:43:59 am »
At least it is reasonably sized compared to the Nspire ones.

The Nspire CX ones were reasonably sized to my advice:

The older Nspire ones were much bigger because they did include a powerful rechargeable battery which could even power the TI-Nspire - which is not the case here.

I also uploaded yesterday some hi-res pictures of the HP-Prime wireless module:

The same (progress stuck at 0%) happened to me with short-circuits (Tx and Rx or Rx and GND in contact).
Try to recheck...

I usually never give technical informations on a server-side script.

But you should be able to find several PHP libraries dealing with PDF files on Google :)

For the TI-Nspire ?
It's a Lua program, so no existing C/C++ PDF library.

The limits are unchanged, as the calculators memory issues remain:
- 6 pages per TI-Nspire document
- 1 page per HP-Prime program
- 100 pages (in theory) per TI-84+C program - we could even allow more than this, but you would have less characters for the document name (8 characters max)

But you can still upload more pages than that - the downloaded pack with just include more files.

What are you talking about ?
There is such message for guest users as far as I know, together with a link.

Could you point me the registration problems please ?

As far as I know, the whole registration interface should be displayed into english if this is your browser default language, even the test asking you to prove that you're a human being.

Your account should be working if that's the question.
(or should be back this week-end or something like that if I remember well)

For the moment, the tool is only accessible to registered users.
We might make it accessible to guests, as I've already wondered about this.

Thanks for the news about this work.
I do appreciate it.

The online converter now supports the TI-84 Plus C, and the generated files are meant to be compatible with IViewer.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

I haven't been informed of anything.
I don't even know how to post-hide anything, and could see no public tutorial or how-to about this - but maybe I did miss it.

Regards.

Can you explain me why I don't have the right to news anymore about the calculator community activity on Omnimaga, after years of volunteer work, although KermM apparently still goes on newsing about his own site ?

Why do the new received rules, partially quoted above, seem to apply to me and not to him ?

In what way is this fair ?

Regards.

Edit: I hadn't read the above comments, especially #2 to #4.

@DJ Omnimaga: do you have a source about this ?

Here: http://ourl.ca/18458 (After the person tried the Nspire Audio player)

A non-responding TouchPad happened to me many times in various situations.
The post isn't comprehensive, so we can't even be sure a shortcut was  the cause.
And he didn't reply after being told how to remove the battery (full reset as some things like the SRAM aren't properly resetted with the button on the back).

Anyway, the pin for the audio player is not adjacent and completely different.

@DJ Omnimaga: do you have a source about this ?

Unwanted contacts with adjacent pins happened to me many times.
And it never bricked the calculator.

Anyway, here's the complete process:

- remove any OS using the maintenance menu (hold Doc+Enter+EE while resetting)

- download a Boot2 3.1 image for the TI-Nspire CX:
http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=4617

- connect and secure the three Tx, Rx and GND wires to the Dock/J01 connector

- install and run a compatible terminal software (like the Hyperterminal private edition coming with Windows up to Vista)

- configure it with:
* the right COM port (check your device manager to know which one your adapter did default to)
* Baud rate = 115200
* Data = 8 bit
* Parity = none
* Stop = 1 bit
* Flow control = none

- trigger the calculator Boot2 update mode be resetting while holding Doc+Enter+2
(beware, they will be a timeout - just reset and try again if you're not fast enough)

- from the terminal send the previously downloaded file using the Xmodem protocol

- install one of the available Nlaunch packs

News / Re: New TI-Nspire CX anti-Ndless hardware J

You didn't need to recompile for ClickPad/TouchPad.

But for CX, you did need to... at least because of the different screen.
I think the confusion is coming from this.
