Best of luck. I always support test your own boundaries....

May I advise you split up the making SSB into component programs though?
For example:
Program to make a map -->
Program that allows a character to move around/jump -->
Program to animate action (walking/attacking) -->
(optional) Program for map to follow a focal point -->
Program for basic linking -->
Program of two characters display with linking -->
Program for object interaction -->
(not optional) Program to make user lose the game -->
Finished program

So the only dangers are
a) Program will not save if without shell
b) it can break your calc if in an app?

How would i go about writing a code checking if its an app?

ok so here I have a question.

Can you safely edit a program you are running.

for example:
[0000]->pic0 .2bytes
5->{pic0}
3->{pic0+1}

Would this modify your code do that pic0 would be [0503] on next run?

I would test this, but changing something outside the general scope can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing (like I).

Ok here:

A 8x8 map (or 16x16).
Each object is indexed by 2 bytes. byte 1: Object identifier. Byte 2 x/y coordinate.
Whenever you walk into a wall (not stairs) (use pixel checking not object for reason of stairs) rotate the map 90* in that direction.  Your goal is to make it out of the maze.

Thomas the Death Machine, does your name reference this?

TI-BASIC / Re: TI-BASIC Q&A

Sorry if I misinterpreted your question:

TI-Basic does not really support self-modifying code (smc). However using graphing variables, there is a rudementary way of doing it as seen in the link below:

I am still on often enough, a comment or two on the irc, but that's about it. Just kinda became a lurker.

I have recently been lent Mario Party 2, SSB, Mario Kart, another Super Mario 64 indefinitely (or until they get another 64)
