Is it just a name-tag we can stick to a specific hex address? It's just a tool to make hex addresses easier for us to work with, yeah?

I graduated college in 2010. just as I stopped using ti calculators, it started getting good. Now I feel like an archaeologist. I'm done with several reads of the documentation. Now I'm going through the Q&A.

Is a pointer like a memory bookmark? Would that be a good way of thinking about it?

Axe / Lemmings in axe« on: October 26, 2019, 08:09:18 am »
Lemmings in axe. That's gonna be how I learn AXE. After reading the axe documentation and lurking the forum a bit, i've decided that Lemmings presents the appropriate challenges for a beginner. I'll need help though. I've designed the game already. I know exactly how I want it to look, play, and control on the calculator. I'm working on figuring out what that means to a machine (the math), then I'll figure out how to translate those mechanics into axe language. That's when I'll start asking real questions. I feel like the hardest part is going to be new levels, you know, add-ons and user-made levels. otherwise, the game itself is really simple. This is my first time in a higher level language. It's crazy intimate. I'm looking right at her memory.

Axe / Hello. I chopped my hand with a hatchet.« on: October 24, 2019, 06:21:20 pm »
Hi. I chopped my hand with a hatchet and I have all this free time now while I recover. I am teaching myself axe. I designed a GUI in BASIC for the ti-82 back in high school (1996). I'm waaaay out of practice but I have a ti-83PLUS from college and need to pass the time while I'm out of work healing these next few weeks.
So Hi. Hi already. Howdy.
