it was on comcast before, but it shutted down in october :(sad.gif

Thats right it was on comcast... as for a demo.  Soon I profise.  There is just one problem, and that is emulating HW3 AMS on VTI so I have to do double work to make it compatible....

interesting code piece if anyone cares:

//to figure out if you are runing a HW2 or HW3 (Titanium) in Basic

c1
-->
CODE
ec1if getConfg()[22]< 2000000: Text "Running a HW2"c2
ec2

//end of code
this also works on the emulator

Um, I think I just thought of a way to update the water in real time on the screen in BASIC at a decent speed

yeah thats what I call it. Tr1p1ea made a basic rpg demo using his own asm lib (xlib) and it has animated water and flower sprites

 Makes me want to redo my collision detection program to C so that it can run in real time.

Enhanced BASIC...I can live with that.

I am the greatest champion of BASIC but I do feel that it has its limitations.  For example,

the water is stationay. It doesn't move.  This could be fixed with C to run in real time.  Limitations like this are the reason why I was so reluctant to finish.  But then I got over it.  So I would like to ask a question:

When basic programmers use C (xlib, flib, or self made libs) is it a lie to say that your program is BASIC?

spoliers
Darcondia and Cassidy head to Madison to complete their assassination mission.  Jonas is left on the island underground to fend for himself while his sister and the Prince of Meridian complete their mission.

After crossing the Delta Valley, they must first take out the Blue Badge Battalion stationed on the other side of the valley.  This mission  must be carried out in stealth so the goal is to remain out of the Line of Sight (LOS) of the BB solders.  The enemy can only be engaged if they don?t see you coming, so you have to sneak up behind them without any other solders seeing you.

Next they make their way into Madison and split up to evade the BB. Darcondia must cross the Monster Infested Fields of Madison and meet up with up with Cassidy by the Grand Lake.  There they decide to sneak into the hideout as monks during the daily offering.   To do this the decide  to sneak into the Holy Appolos temple and steal two robes from the shrine room.

From there they are able to access the BB hideout.  However, when they enter the offering room, they find a trap waiting for them.  Cassidy is captured but Darcondia is able to escape.  With the help of a stranger he is able to evade the BB and make it back to Delta Valley.  From there he is formally introduced to the person who helped him escape.  Her name is Eve and she says that she is also from Meridian sent into Madison by Tagnon as backup.  Eve makes it very clear that retreat is not an option and that Cassidy must be rescued and Boss must be eliminated.

To save her they decide to employ opposing tactics.  Darcondia, with his brute strength will distract the security by bum rushing the front gates while Eve sneaks around back and into the cells.  From there Eve is able to free Cassidy.  The two make their way up to the center chambers where they find Darcondia about to confront Maximillion himself.

Maximillion has wore down Darcondia but together the three are able to defeat him and escape.  Before they finish Maximillion, he claims to have knowledge of a secret weapon being developed by Tagnon.  This weapon is powered by ancient technology and wheeling the ultimate cannon Invincible.

It becomes very obvious that this story is just beginning.

Spoliers
The first chapter of TSOD:TSE takes place in Madison.  It introduces the main character, Darcondia.  Darcondia is the adopted child of DarcTagnon and is the subsequently in line to become king behind his older brother DarcKegen.

Of course he receives a lot of slack because of this and feels that he must constantly prove himself to the other members of the royal family.  Strangely enough his brother, Kegen, is Condia?s only peer who respects him as an equal.

In an effort to prove himself to Emperor Tagnon, Condia enters the Trials Championship in an effort to earn the rank of Supreme Guarder.

The new type of battling is introduced; a mix of card battling and Classic RPG battle style.  Basically, it is up to the player to decide exactly how they want to battle.  You can choose to focus on straight attacks and your own special attacks, or you can use the card to summon defenders to the field in your stead.   Obviously, in the beginning of the game, you don?t have very many cards, so you are dependent on your own skills and powers.   However, as you move through the game, and collect more cards, they will become and integral part of battling.

Darcondia is sent to the Meridian Desert to practice fighting the relatively weak creatures.  However, as it turns out, he is sabotaged by the son of General Einhold, Fate Einhold  another jealous peer of the royal family.  To Condia?s rescue, Kegen arrives and together they must defeat the Einhold Syndicate.

When Darcondia returns to Meridian, he decides to continue the Trials and officially enters the competition.  All together, there are 50 levels of varying difficulty.  The Trials are single player only, so you can?t fight alongside Kegen.  In fact, he is the 2nd seed so you have to fight him in the semifinal.  General Einhold is the top seed.  After defeating him you can choose to play the doubles championship.  Be warned, this is many times more difficult than the singles.  This is for advance players who have collected a full deck.  This is the end of the first chapter.

After returning to the castle, Tagnon gives you a mission to infiltrate the Madison base and eliminate the leader, Boss Maximillion.  However, you will need all sorts of special equipment to handle this enemy.  So you are first sent to the Infinity Isles to rendezvous with Cassidy Lunas.  Her and her baby brother, Jonas, are spies for Meridian who are staked out in the Northern Infinity Isles.

The isles are very dangerous because they are home to some of the creatures that live there.  There was once a thriving village there, but now there are only monsters.  This is why Cassidy is camped out there, because no one in their right mind would even bother traveling to the isle.
She and her brother are stationed in the underground chambers and only surface to leave the island, or to collect food.

Cassidy and Jonas join your team for the trip to the surface. One thing that is apparently obvious is that the monsters are getting stronger. Cassidy points out that something is causing the creatures to react.  After securing the supplies, you are attacked by an awesomely powerful creature. Defeating it causes the second part of the game to come to a close.

Extremely,  when you are writing on the graphscreen, which I haven't done in forever, yoou are limited to 160x67 or something like that, but when you draw a sprite or picture using flib, your range become 160x100.

Yeah, I use flib.  Instead of hiding the menus, it just writes on top of the video memory.  Thats what makes it fun to program.  From the time you start the program to the point you exit the game, the video memory has to be maintained.
