I saw this and I immediately thought, "but it's not April fools, what is this doing here?". This is pretty much the coolest thing I've ever seen.

The school I go to has 2 3d printers, three CNC machines, a plasma cutter and a laser cutter/engraver. It's pretty rad. Any file format would be fine, but an STL or IPT would be best.

Hey, I have access to a 3d printer and a CNC. Could I get a copy of the model file?

If you are thinking about going to higher math classes (Calculus, Linear Algebra) it can be very helpful. To have a calculator with a CAS. The Nspire CX CAS is the calculator I use in AP Calculus AB and it is really helpful. If you are only in Alg 2, it is a little impractical. I used an 84 and an 86 in Alg 2.

If you get minecraft to work on the CX, you win.

Totally getting the new OS, the 3d parametric graphing outweighs the nDoom, but not much.

I have always feared death by fire more than anything else, but I thought it would only happen on accident. Now that I hear about this and what DJ_O said about stoning still happening, I am really dissapointed in society, I am really glad that these things are pretty much extinct in the majority of the world.

Sorry about that uninformed comment I made earlier. I know that book button as catalog, like on the 84.

That is amazing. What a pro. Doing something like that requires major skill.

TI-Nspire / Java for nspire?
« on: February 08, 2012, 10:02:37 pm »
I was thinking to today to myself about what would be really cool. Then I thought of something, a virtual machine thingy that would allow nspires to run simple java programs, like GridWorld for those who know what that is.

Anyone want to say anything about a web browser for the nspire?
I know they made a web browser for the 84 that had to be plugged into a computer with internet.
It would be really cool if there as one made for the nspire that need no computer.

Other Calculators / Should I get a TI-92/200
« on: February 08, 2012, 12:11:55 pm »
I know someone who might be willing to sell me a TI calculator with a QWERTY keyboard, but they are not sure weather it is a 92 or a 200. I am thinking of buying it so that i can say i have one, but i already have the TI-nspire CX CAS and i do not know if it is worth it. Any suggestions?
another unrelated question, is anyone thinking of making a web browser for the CX using the TI navigator wifi attachment? that would be really cool.

The message i get from trying to use a regular touchpad nSpire with CAS commands is a message bow that tells me to buy a CAS. The CAS for regular nspire might not actually be good and my lead to the downfall of the nspire for things like the ACT because CAS calculators are not allowed to be used on it and if an OS included CAS functions, they might disallow all nSpires for the test. Take one for high school TI-nspire users out there and buy a CAS if you want it's features.

I have a TI-81 around my house somewhere. It was used maybe a little to heavily until it's unfortunate demise in the -45˚C(-50˚F) weather in Alaska. It had bluish pixels though.
